I'm confused.Is it effective for we get a job through internet?

Now, i'm looking for job through internet,but i never get any messages after sending my resume.
I'm wondering whether effective in this way.Or are there some tips and skills anout this.

I think, or in reality to find better jobs, for candidates to the talent market, the Internet, I feel so far, not very mature, I think in the near future, work on the Internet should be popular, and now to that is not too stable.
