England reached 311 for six in their second innings on the third day of the second Test on Saturday to put themselves in a splendid position to win their first Ashes Test at Lord's for 75 years. When rain ended play, England held an overall lead of 521 after captain Andrew Strauss had decided against enforcing the follow-on. Australia were dismissed for 215 in the morning session in reply to the hosts' 425.

yeh it was a very big lead and Strauss straight away declared the next day. Nice job by the Englash bowlers and batsmen in the first innings. Strauss was under a lot of pressure and played a real captains knock. Haddin and Clarke provided some resistence, but the bowlers were just too good and wrapped up the innings soon after they were dismissed.

Hi, Ya I was watching the match last night and it was really a remarkable show by the English player this time. At time it seemed as if the Aussies were no team at all. What I feel now is that after adding some more score England should declare and try to notch the both the match and history.
