Is it harmful to play really loud music in a car?

Hello All,
Driving a car is always been my pleasure. i really like to drive my maruti swift car on highways. but whenever i play music in my car my dad and my doctor friends always says that it is not good to play loud music in the car as it will endanger my hearing since car audio sound is of 110 decibel. Do you also think in same way?

I also love to play my music loud when a great song comes on. Nothing beats jamming to some great music during a long drive. I imagine playing the music loud all the time might give serious wear and tear on your car speakers but I don't think it would be enough to damage you hearing. If it does then you will just be able to have all the great memories and know the joy that music brought to you.
