What is the most uncomfortable place or position you've ever slept in?

I had to sleep in a tent that had about 1 inch deep puddles everywhere. I pretty much slept on a tiny sandbar in the area I actually had alloted to me. But somebody's got to have way worse. Waking up 20 times through the cold cold night with nothing but the fetal position to keep you warm?

I had to sleep in a chair while attending the wake of my bestfriend's father. I really had no choice since there are lots of people walking to and fro to visit. And in the morning i really feel a backache and my body is aching all over.

Not as uncomfortable as yours, but once I slept in train. It was a night travelling. I had to sleep in the train or else I would sleep while walking or sitting in a cafe the next day. It was a comfortable seat but for sitting, not for sleeping. I couldn't find a suitable place to put my head. I was sitting on the corridor side. So I had to sleep in sitting position. I can overcome it but there was another problem: The lights were on. All of them! I can't sleep if it is too bright. I couldn't sleep well that night and the next day was very hard for me.

A couple of times come to mind. The first thing is a camping trip I took my kids on and it was so hot we should have been in the air conditioning! I had me and my two kids all sleeping in a one man tent! It was so hot, and my daughter had poison ivy, and finally got out and slept in the vehicle. The other time that came to mind was when my son was in the hospital and my daughter and I shared a small couch! We slept with our heads at alternate ends... it was so uncomfortable but it was the only time we could sleep and we were exhausted!

i think the worst place i've slept in was the time when i slept in a hut and mosquitoes were everywhere. it was really hard for me to sleep. the hut was made of bamboos and nipa and the mosquitoes were buzzing all night. it was so hard to sleep because they were biting me the whole time. the only time i was able to sleep was when i was really exhausted and didn't care if they feasted on my blood anymore.

I once slept on a grass plot during a picnic. Hot as hell, drenched in sweat. mosquitoes everywhere, humming and biting. the ground was as hot as a grill. The water we drank had a taste of rotten meat. Oww! smeeled like raw eggs. None of us slept that night except the local guide who snored away and work up before dawn so that we may see tigers in their natural habitat. My back was stiff, and my body iched lol. This was very little to explain the trauma of trip to a tiger reserve. We sat on elephant, his hairs as sharp as needles and he smelt of goo....... But we sure saw pretty sights of numerous birds, reptiles, deers, wild hog etc and most of all tigers
