With the world views on weight still sending more and more people into eating disorders, starvation, etc., what do you do to keep your weight in check. If you are one of the many of us plagued with their weight daily, what have you tried that hasn't worked for you?
I, personally, have been keeping my calorie intake at 1200, being that my BMI has crept into the obesitiy range, as well as running 2 miles 4 days a week and doing weight training on those days as well. It isn't working... I am suffering from fairly severe post-partum depression though and I wonder if that may be contributing.
I would love to hear from anyone on either side of the spectrum. I could use any ideas.

i'm rubbish at keeping to diets i'm always saying oh i'll start again on monday, my problem is that i love food, but its not that i eat unhealthily i just have portions too big. I dont exercise much although i do love playing sports, but instead of thinking i want to lose x amount of weight this week i'm just going to take one day at a time

I am 174 cm and my weight is between 65kg and 75kg, depending on work and eat situation. I feel best at about 74 kg and control weight with protein shakes of a Californian company. Meat I have not more than twice a week; my bread mostly I bake myself adding fibrous cereals.

It sounds crazy, but the Nintendo Wii is the best thing I have ever done for my weight. I have the Sports, Wii Fit, and the EA Personal Trainer programs. I use them on alternate days, depending on my mood. This is the only way I have found for me to stay motivated and keep going on an exercise program.

Foe the most part ive never had much of a problem managing my weight. Ive had a hard time gaining weight, but ive never had a problem being too obese. My doctor says i have a really high metabolism, but i always eat small meals throughout the day. Thats what keeps my metabolism so fast. I never really sit down and have a huge meal at once. Ill eat a little here and there. And i dont drink soda. If i do its because my stomach is upset so i get a sprite or something, but i drink water all day. Its really hard to do the 8 glasses a day, so i try to drink at least 3 or 4 bottles of water. Believe it or not, if you drink more water and less soda the weight will just fall off. Your body tends to retain the sugar from the soda, and thats what makes you gain so much weight. So i think eating smaller meals more frequently and drinking water is the key to keeping a good weight.
