I was watching a program,in the History channel this morning, and i was dazzled about this, Ancient Plastic Surgery. I thought it's a new discovery and practices in science/medicine.
Plastic surgery during Ancient time were practice by India, Egypt, Greece, Alexandria and Rome, the it end during Middle Ages.
The Queen Nefertiti, used the static surgery on her face, by stetching the skin backwards, it made her face look young and beautiful.
Alexander the Great, has this field surgeons on the battlefield to cure the wounded soldier and even himself.
I think Ancient people got this brilliant, and genuis mind! And human anatomy was already studied in ancient time and they discovered that the brain is the center of the body not the heart. And during that time, there is no anesthetic, so it was very painful, they used heated scalpel and herbs for doing surgery.
Have a look with this link:

That's something new to me though.. hehe ^_^ All i know is that there are some forms of 'plastic surgery' going on during those earlier days but i dunno what kind of methods they used though.. hehe ^_^ Even for chinese in china etc, they already started with 'skin pulling' which is said to help in wrinkled free skin.. hehe ^_^ And this method is still being praticed now, even though it's quite painful.. haha =D
