In general, yes, but not exclusively. Some men I know "talk a hole in my head". LOL!

One of the most important part of a relationship for a woman is that emotional connection you can only get through talking. You get that through sharing ideas, thoughts and feelings. If a man comes home from work and is tired all the time he may not feel like talking because to some men it is like being at work again. Talking and sharing ideas seem like work so they run off to watch TV or hide on the computer. Meanwhile his wife is wondering what is wrong. Why won't you talk to me. Does this mean you don't feel the same about me as you used to? In time, when nothing changes, the questions turn to certainty and then to a loss of love. What most men do not realize is that we need that connection also but it is not so easy for us to understand. We fool ourselves into believing that if we are a good provider, a good husband, and a good father what more do we need do to make her happy? Why would talking about our day be so meaningful? We are here isn't that what's important? Of course what some of us fail to see is that just talking about the day shows interest. You want to know how her day went and the childrens and when they feel that, it makes all the difference. If we go back to the attraction phase of a relationship we can clearly see how important communication is. Most of us can't talk enough because after all we are interested in this lovely creature before us. However once we know each other well it seems there is much less to talk about, but not for women.

Whereas with men, they are constantly thinking and trying to figure out how they can make their selves or their wives happier. It's kind of rare that I ever meet men that are content because when they are content they are usually fairly quiet. Well no, I don't really think that women talk more than men, I just think that we both have our spells where sometimes we feel like talking a lot and other times we don't.
