Has using mylot made you a nicer or more aware person?

I have found that giving people positive feedback can do so much for someone. I know that i love receiving positve feedback about my discussions. I will definetly try to apply this to people in the general public as well so i think its made me a better person in that im more aware of just how much a nice comment can lift someones spirits. I also think that because of the myths being dispelled mayby when we see a person of different race it wont be something that stands out to us as much because we now know people belonging to that race even though we havent met face to face most people have many of their personal experinces in their discussions not just general knowledge and you do get to feel like you have a sense of who a person is also i always look at the pictures to see if theres family pictures (one thing i have to do is upload some pictures ive been trying right now to responds to friends questions as ive added a lot in the last couple days and havent been able to get to everybody yet, but i will!) i think this brings it home a little when things arent perceived by us as so different and unknown we can let go of fears and prejudices we may have had

i felt that after joining mylot, it made me appreciate my loved ones more. there's some thought provoking questions in the discussions and i believe that when i responded to the discussion, sub consciously it also applies in. One major changes is my relationship with my bf more loving and closer than before. last time, when he went back to singapore, we used to argue a lot through the phone (lol) i guess this is because both of us got frustrated that we cannot be together. well, he went back last friday and we've chatted through MSN and occasional calls, and it has never been better! it made him felt better that i'm in mylot, rather than out partying/clubbing ;0)

Thats really great you can have such a positive changes after joining this big family:) Its true that its better to be hee rather than going out for those night life outing...at least more safe and at the same time can earn some extra for our time.

I have learnt much since I joined Mylot. Here, you see diff people from different counttries and different cultures posting their views on various topics. It's really interesting, because many times, I have learnt that what may be acceptable to my race/culture/country, etc, may not be so to others in another part of the world. It is definitely an eye-opener for me. It's been a great experience for me so far!

hmm.. i just joined mylot because of the money involved at first.. so i am still thinking about the other perks.. i hope i could gain friends through this.

i joined just for money as well but have met some people who are great and the more friends you have on here the better when used properly with you responding to them and them to you it really helps you earn more and have more fun too. ill request a friends add for you +

I haven't been on mylot long but have met some really nice people from around the world. As for changing me as a person no am the same..(psst which am a nice person..lol) But I never realized the hate that is out there by some not the majority a few, of America. People group us americans all together. I don't bash other countries so this kinda rubs me the wrong way...there are days I walk away from mylot very disappointed. I mean I'll go in and post but sometimes is hard to be nice after reading some of the stuff....sorry thats my whine for the month

Unfortunatly people are grouping all nationalities, races and any other group of people and making generalizations but while this is happening its nice to see people coming to their defence as well. things have definetly rubbed me the wrong way as well, i was in a very negative and just not nice debate with someone for awhile and asked for the help of someone who had both of us on their friends list and the situation was diffused. But over all ive seen more good than bad on the site. No need to be sorry and you dont sound whiny to me you sound like your giving me your opinion which is what i asked for so thanks +

You can learn a lot about people being here, and responding to different posts. I have learned that we all are people from all over the World. Who cares which country. We can all be Friends, and learn and grow from each other. The general knowledge on here is interesting. I am glad there is a site such as this, and long live myLot.

I have found that I am more aware of things going on in my family. I haveresponded to many family related threads and realised that I am not the only one going through certain things. I have also realised that ican give pretty good advice. I dont mean to sound conceded cause I am not but in reading my posts later they make sence and I have earned best response because of them.
I think mylot is making people aware of there surroundings and to be a ble to open there eyes a bit more and see things diffrently.

i agree and im sure its not just mylot but any site where people are coming together and sharing knowledge and advice it just so happens this is the first site of this type that i have joined so i realized how it spills over into everyday life. thanks for response +

This is my first forum and I think it's a great way to learn about new things about other countries and chat with other people of different races. I believe that everybody here is trying to help another when you have a question about earning online, maintaining your health, skin, ect. I'm glad that I came on because I learned quite alot, and found that I'm more intereested in the news because of it.
