Whoo Hoo! Today I Made $5.00! General Mills Cereals

Yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought my weekly groceries. On one of the boxes of cereal - Cinnamon Toast Crunch to be exact - it said that in 1 of 10 boxes there would be a cash card inside. So, that would make it a 10% chance of winning something. On the back of the box it said that 1 in 10 boxes would have a Discover Cash Card in the amount of $5.00, $10.00 or $25.00
So, I was going to get the box of cereal anyways so I picked up a box and put it in the cart. Well, this morning I opened up the box of cereal and lo and behold there was a little foil packet inside. I could feel a card inside so I started to get happy. Then I opened it up and saw that I had won a $5.00 Discover Cash Card!!! That really made my day as I am really broke right now. Now I can get some more groceries with it!
I had to go to a redemption site and type in the codes, etc. I did all that and got the following message:

I am going to go buy more of these boxes of cereal. You never know, I might win again! My kids love this cereal and have been asking for it anyways, I look on this as an added bonus!

It is ironic that you mention that because my little girl was running around yesterday with another thing she had got from a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the past. It was a little Nascar Hotwheels car that was white with Cinnamon Toast Crunch insignia and looked like the design etc. from the box on the sides of the toy car.

That is amazing! Was that recently that you got the card? Or was that a past promotion? I wonder if this is another item that is in this promotion right now. I thought it was only the cereals! Ooohh I have to check it out.

Congratulations, although i've never heard of the cereal 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch', i am assuming you live somewhere in the US? Anyways, you were lucky to win with a 10% chance. Although $5 isn't much, you get the feeling of winning something! =D

That is great congratulations I wish you luck so you can get more of those cards. I like cereal but I don't eat it often but I guess now I have a reason to start eating more especialy the Cinnamon Toast Cruch . Well I guess I have to ask my husband and my daughter if they want some frist because I don't want to be the only one eating them.

It is on a bunch of other cereals too: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios, Golden Grahams, Fruity Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Honey Nut Cheerios, Cocoa Puffs, Trix, and Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs.
That is a pretty good selection to choose from if you ask me.

That is so cool..well, I wish you luck in winning another card maybe a $25.00 card this time..I have never won anything like that so it is good to hear that they are putting the cards in the boxes..enjoy..Cinnamon toast crunch is a great cereal.

Congratulations!! It's always nice to hear that someone who needs it gets something like this. I would never get one because I always buy store brands.
I heard about a place called kgb.com from Clark Howard, an economist with a radio show. They pay you to research and answer questions that people have. You might check them out, I looked at it briefly but I'm too busy right now with my writing to spend time on it.

lottery! It is great because you were buying the cereal anyway
so that makes it even better! I hope that the next box you
buy has an even bigger amount! I never get so lucky! But,
since you need the money and your kids love the cereals I do

Thanks so much! I know my little 4 year old has almost finished off the bowl today. But hey, what the heck. I will buy some more of these specially marked boxes. I might just get another card. I am just happy to get the $5.00 card. I think I might faint if I got the $25.00 one!

Yep! I got one of those too! On the morning that I was going to take my coin jar to the coin machine and go shopping. Instead of having only $28 I had $33 and was able to buy two pairs of shorts on sale at the mall! Totally exciting although I felt a little silly with a bright orange "Yogos" $5 debit card at the mall. Oh well, now I have new clothes :D

Well that is great! It is wonderful that someone else out there got one too! I wouldn't worry about being silly because of the Yogos symbol. Heck, money is money. I'm just glad that the card boosted up your cash enough to be able to get two pairs of shorts!

That's just great, schulzie! It's nice to be rewarded for something we would do anyway. My granddaughter also got one of those gift cards inside a box of Cheerios. I keep hoping that I will find one in one of my boxes, but sofar no luck.

Wow, that's good. keep it up. but don't buy so much if you can't afford more. reminds me of my mom buying newspapers simply for the raffle ticket in it.
