Do you believe that people should be able to choose their time of death?

I was just reading this article about an elderly couple, the man was in his 80's and the woman was in her 70's.
she was terminally ill and I don't remember what all was wrong with him but anyways, this couple decided that they wanted to pass away together.
I dont remember where it was but I know that whoever made it happen for them.
My own personal belief in this is that it's crazy.
I understand that maybe they were going through really hard times from being ill, it was probably very hard and a very hard choice to make. but I dont think that that kind of thing is up to us. I think that God should be the one to tell us when it's time to go.
and by stepping in and taking over I'd be scared of where I'd end up!
I'm a christian and this is my view.
I would like to hear other people's views as well. please no arguing or being harsh on one another, I just want to hear what you all have to say :)

i think we respect that people have the right to live, also should have the right to decide to die.
to choose die is a very brave action. we should respect it.
I'm not any religious person, it's just my natural feeling.
I think if our law is completed perfectly and we can find a good way to let people choose freely.
