I was thinking just a small party at the house because she is only going to be two with Tinker Bell as the theme. I was going to invite some of our friends. My husband thinks we should take a trip to Ohio around that time. Most his family is there. He thinks that would be a good place to have her birthday.
What did you do for your child's 2nd birthday?

Two years old is not going to remember much in the future. Make sure to take lots of pictures, because she will appreciate for it later on...
I wouldn't travel with 2 years old, I would invite few friends and family and make sure she has a good time but also rest when tired...

I love taking pictures. I have tons of pictures of her. I think a small party will be good. We are going to get a few nice things for her. I wish her grandparents did not live so far away. But they are sending her a few little things to remember them on her special day. I am afraid it will be hard on her because we are having another baby here in the next couple of weeks and I want her day to be all about her;-)

My son will be two on July 28th! We are having a cookout for his birthday on Saturday. We invited close family and friends. His theme is Cars. We usually just do small family parties for our kids. But now that they are in school I guess we will have to start doing parties for their friends too. We won't do it every year though, just on the milestones. I think a small family party is good enough.

That sounds nice. Cars is a nice theme to have for a boy. Congrats on your son's birthday. My daughters is in Aug. A cookeout sounds good. I wish our family didn't live so far away;-)

When my kids turned two, I just threw small parties with family. They aren't really old enough to remember this birthday, so there is no point in going to the expense of a big party with lots of kids and a clown. My kids remember stuff from their fourth birthdays, but not really any before that. I think the trip to Ohio would be great, as I am sure your/his family would like to be part of this occasion. And the Tinkerbell theme is great!! My daughter did Princess Parties every year except for this one, she wanted Hannah Montana.

Thanks for the response. That is what I thought too. 2 is still young to go all out. Maybe Ohio might be good. The family has not seen her yet and she has a lot of family to meet. Being in the military we are not near family so much because of where I am stationed. My daughter's 1st party was the princess theme. I think Hanna Montana is a good theme too;-)
