I am writing this as a warning to anyone out there who posts on postparker. The site has a lot of ads now. Every now and then, when on you are posting, a box pops up and starts to run a virus scan on your computer- or at least it looks like it. The box than says that your computer is infected and you must download a patch that will take the virus off.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM..it is a terrible Trojan virus. I fell victim to it a year ago and it wiped out my entire pc. I had to get a new computer and lost evey single thing that was on the hard drive.
This is a real threat. The admin of PP says its fixed, but I and others are still getting the message. Make sure that if you go to PostParker and get that popup you don't let it download anything to your computer.
Immediately close out if you get that box, click "cancel" (do not click OK, that will download the software) then close the box manually, do not hit ok after hitting cancel. Then run your own virus scan and make sure the virus did not get on your computer.
I have left PP for now and am checking back in a week to see if the virus is still there.
Just wanted to warn you all.

I think that site itself is staling information from us. I have posted many times regarding this in that site and some time they are deleting our post and as you told he is always saying that the problem is resolved. But my anti virus software is not allowing that one and still some time my system starts hanging after the pop up window is opened. Also the pop up blocker is not blocking that window. After reaching the pay out, I will just quit that site.

I've certainly heard of Post Parker
but am not a member there. The thing that
surprised me is that how did these hackers ever
get access to send virus in such forms.
That's really something worrying.
But like you said the admin of PP has
already fixed it so I suppose it's safe for now.
Sometimes, I really wonder what are all these hackers up to with their motives
in doing things like that. Really a no-brainer there. Thanks for your
information. I'm sure members of Post Parker will appreciate this, really..

That's really useful info. Thanks for that. I joined PP a while ago, but never bothered going back to it. In light of the virus, the likelihood of me going back is even greater.

I am a member of post parker but I haven't posted in there for awhile now. I have foind the same thing, and that is why I left post parker. Also they don't have near the categories that mylot has. I never could fine many discussions to post to. I don't have all that much in here and it would take me awhile to get payout there anyway. I will just relinquish what I have made as I really don't think the site is all that great. I am devoting most of my time to mylot now, so I don't have time to post in there anymore. Hurray for mylot. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
