Hey, I'd just like to know what a skip/skip hire is. Something to do with motoring, but what is it exactly?

Hiya, My hubby hired a skip last couple of few months to collect our rubbish like old tiolet, bath, woods and etc. which can't go in the bin, using the big truck. Happy myloting.

skip hire is when you hire a BIG metal container for when you are say knocking walla down etc etc the skip is then picked up by a lorry and disposed of

A skip looks like the tipper, on a tip lorry. It is for putting large amount of rubbish, ie you are stripping your house to redecorate it, etc. You hire it for a given period of time: once you've finished filling it with rubbish, it is picked up by a lorry. I hope it helped :)
