What tool are you using to get through life?

We are all in the same boat, we just have different paddles, and perhaps we find ourselves on different rivers, lakes or oceans. We all live in human bodies and these bodies are the vehicles in which we move through our world. We are all made of flesh, blood, and bone, with brains, hearts, and lungs to power us. Our paddles, the tools we use to move through the world vary, as do the bodies of water and the environments in which we find ourselves.
Some of us use our high IQs to get where we want to go. Some of us use our smiles, others use kindness, a gift with language, or athletic ability. Some of these qualities we were born with and others are skills we have learned. We should not depend on only one tool, beauty for example, to get us through but learn new ones or use others that we already possess. What tools are you using to get from point A to point B in your life?

My smile and diligence, I keep studying and I'm friendly to friends.
I guess that're my tools.

I suppose I am using a great many tools to help me along my spiritual path. I'm definately an aesthetic person, and enjoy these facets of life. I enjoy art for art sake, so to speak and lean toward the Pre-Raphaelites sentiments. I enjoy compassion, agape love, and understanding. Truth moves me and through me, and honesty is held in great esteem. Honor and duty are also at my side on this journey, and ones that I think I'm most bonded to.
I do my best each day to use all of my gifts, but I know there are days when life's pebbles on the road do get the better of my sandals and I need to stop and apply life's balm to them, and enjoy the quiet of a shade tree.
Many blessings. Namaste-Anora
