Best Friend or Long Term Partner

here's the thing, when im with my best friend i laugh and fool around and its brilliant! we never fall out or fight and we have a lot in common. however, when im with my girlfriend, who i''ve been with a year last friday, i feel happy in a totally different way, we chat about completely different things that don't even interest me, yet i listen anyway and contribute, i love her a lot and i love spending time with her but i cant make up my mind which i prefer, my best friend or my girlfriend. if anyone else has a similar situation i'd be delighted to hear your opinions thanks =)
