Most of the days I get sound sleep. I had problem with sleeping last night. I went to bed at 10:30 pm, but I couldn't sleep till 3:00 in the morning. I was very disappionted and thought that I was not going to sleep in the entrie night. I found my room mate sleeping very well at the same time.
There are also lots of mosquitoes in my house due to change of season. It is a big pain to kill misquitoes while sleeping. I have to buy some mosquito killer medicine urgently. Last night I killed aroudn 15 mosquitoes by beating. It is a very difficult situation if you want to sleep badly and you can't sleep.

Yeah, I totally agree. I hope you've gotten that mosquito situation under control!

Here's a good old-fashioned method - mix a teaspoon of honey into a warm glass of herbal tea or milk.

for severe insomnia cases it is not advisable to be in the computer or any electronic device an hour before you go to sleep , like television and PC. you must relax your mind first before you could actually fall asleep, dont go to bed with full stomach , and try not to think of whats worrying you that may be the major cause why you cant sleep.

Hi Kalpal, been through this one. Stop the napping now and make sure you wake up early. Don't nap and son't let your worries come to you at night, address them during the day. Go to bed earlier, I know, what's the point, you won't be able to sleep, wake up early, don't give in to the nap, go to bed earlier again. After a few days your body will start to adjust to waking early and you will begin to feel tired at night. Don't think about going to sleep or it will keep you awake.

I think the problem might be that you are staying up all night and taking nap and sleeping during the day. You need to turn your schedule around, your body is used to you sleeping during the day that when you try to fall asleep at night your not tired. You need to pick one night when you go to sleep earlier that normal and then keep yourself awake during the day that way your body can get back onto a regular routine.

That makes a lot of sense. I've tried doing that and it's helping a lot. Thanks!

Well first you need to relax your mind, don't think about anything that may keep you busy and active during the night. If you worry too much it won't help too. When I can't sleep I try to stretch every part of my body until it's relaxed. I log on to my computer until I feel sleepy... you only need to do things that may calm you down. Don't drink too much liquids high in caffein, it may disrupt your sleep.
