Why do people smoke even if they know the consequences?

I have seen many smokers.i think every smoker knows that cigarettes are harmful for their health,still they continue to smoke.What do you think about somking?Do you smoke?

Its just the matter of addiction that.. even they can't control..
All of us are in one way or the other addicted to habbits. Just that smoking is too harmful to be addicted!
Almost all of are addicted to either Tea or Coffee... even after knowing its ill effects (except green tea ofcourse)
You got to mentally strong to come out of such habbits!!
