Do you think that today's doctors are more interested in making money than treating the patients.I myself have seen doctors who are more interested to make money. Like when my child of four years was sick we went to his doctor. He prescribed some medicines. When we went to the medicine counter and submitted the prescription we came to know that the dosage of medicine prescribed where for an adult person and a child should never take it. I as a parent was really shocked. What would have happened had my child taken the medicines as prescribed. This made me wonder is money the most important factor now a days.

Because of these few bad peoples, their total field earns a bad name. The same applies for policemens too. I had seen 2 or 3 rude doctors in my life and very sweet doctors as well. To talk about the rude ones, I dont in what mindset they are. A doctor must not be rude with patient. If he shows his rudeness, sure it affects the patient. Only Humans should be allowed to become doctors Humanity should be taught in MBBS. Majority doctors are money mongers. Some doctors loosing humanity after coming this field. Sad thing. But Truth. And am reading in newspaper atleast once in a week about any doctors fraudulent. According to me, Hospitality is nearly a God Service. But because of many bad, This field started loosing Respect!

I do not know what doctors you are seeing, but I live in a small town and the doctors there are not there to make money; as many have second jobs in other towns just to be able to pay their bills. After they pay their insurance and their staff do they actually make as much as you think they do? I am sure there are many doctors that make good maney and are still there for the patients, and I know several of them. Thank God for them. Just remember doctors are human too, and they make mistakes. We are lucky to have modern technology to catch their mistakes. Computer systems that catch things like that prescription error are a gift, even when it slows down the process, it is worth it if it saves even one life. Doctors go to school for a long time and in many cases take years to pay off their loans for school. Maybe the best doctors out there are hard to come by, but it is worth finding them. If you are not happy with your doctor then look for another one.

Wow!! To me this is unreal, and if I were you would be searching out for a New doctor as well. But then at the same time anymore I have learned in most cases it pays to be Proactive. I am Diabetic and allergic to a lot of meds, and always have to keep on top of things. But at the same time I think Doctors anymore are less worried about the patients for sure.

I think that most doctors need money to cure you. The corruption is everywhere. All people are intersted in making more and more money even though you're a millionaire. I know many cases in which the doctor want money before operation and if you don't pay you're gonna die...So, all people are corrupted no matter they are doctors, politics or taxi drivers

Though doctors are paid, in most cases, six figures, I doubt that the sole reason a person successfully becomes a doctor is for the money. I'm sure fresh out of high school or fresh out of college an individual might be tempted to become a doctor so they can buy new clothes, get a nice car, etc. But the competitive nature and rigorous and challenging course load needed to gain access to medical school, weeds out most of these people. I would say that like with any job some people get burned out at their jobs. A cashier that carelessly overlooks giving too much or too little change, and the doctor that you encountered may not be so different. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time, and everyone feels burned out at their job. A doctor has ridiculously long hours, filled with stressful situations. Not all of us can stay sharp all of the time. So, in short. There are some people who do it for the money, these people eager to pay off their terrifying loads of student loans, credit card debt, car payments, mortgages, cell phone bills, child care fees, speeding tickets, etc. But I doubt that there is a doctor who becames a doctor for no other reason but to make money, because in the long run, a person will probably make more money becoming a business man than a doctor. Doctors loose most of their money in malpractice insurance.
