We went to Walmart to do some shopping yesterday, and I tried to use a few coupons I printed off the internet. They informed me they're no longer accepting printed coupons anymore because they're having a problem with some of those coupons being illegitimate. Has your store stopped accepting internet coupons?

In all honestly I can completely understand why and it doesnt hurt people to pay the dollar and get the sunday paper and go through those coupons. It's not like you can't get the coupons its just you have to put a little bit more time into it. Now I haven't tried using coupons at Walmart unless they come in the mail etc. and its something I really like so I can't really compare about how my Walmart is handling coupons at the moment.

FYI, internet coupons are not free either, we have to pay for the paper and ink to print them, and do the leg work to find the websites to print them from. Besides, people who are using coupons are typically trying to save money and don't want to spend extra money for a newspaper JUST for coupons!

Our wal-mart that we go to has only a select few places on the internet that they will accept coupons from and of course they don't tell you which sites and when your inline and you hand your coupons over, they have to call over a manager to get them to look at the coupons and what not and now you have a backed up line and people getting angry. All the coupons i print offline are from mypoints as I'm trying to gain points to get points for a gift certificate to probably use at wal-mart. All though i usually shop at wal-mart for all my groceries and other things, i might just start going to another local grocery store and using the coupons there since wal-mart is being a little bad with their rules lately.

Those are the same coupons I'm using, although I'm going through a different site that actually pays a penny per coupon instead of a point, I found that easier.

As far as I know our Wal-mart still accepts them but our save-a-lot only has certain ones they accept, the problem is I never know until they look at them. *SIGH* I think they need to progress with the times and figure something out. I understand that they dont want to and cant afford to be ripped off but neither can we!

Oh man I hope they don't start doing that at our walmart. I just used some there last week and didn't have any trouble. That would really stink if they stopped taking the coupons because I usually use a few. i belong to two sites that I print them off of. One gives me points and the other gives me 1 cent for each one I print and redeem.

I know! I'm your referral on QR, remember. I've made $2 there since joining, most of that is from the coupons!

I ran into this years ago. There was some fake Haagen Dazs coupon going around the web and suddenly my grocery store wouldn't take internet coupons any more. I used to get some really good ones, but I don't even bother any more.

I wasn't bothering for the longest time either, because usually coupons are for brands I don't usually buy, or amounts of that brand I wouldn't want to buy. But then I found that I could get points for printing coupons off a site, and I began just printing coupons I knew I'd use. It grew from there and I'd print coupons just to try something different for a cheaper price.

Oh yes, I find out a couple of months ago they do not accept internet coupons anymore. I live in FLorida and thought it was only here because my out-of-state friends still can use them.

I used them last week, but this week they say I can't, so it's new for us.

ALL the stores around here stopped accepting them a year or more ago actually which is really frustrating IMO since you could get some great coupons online..

I didn't even know they had them. Call the store manager if it is a coupon, you downloaded. You had to pay for the ink.Now its time for them to take what they put in.

I work in a grocery store, and for awhile we didn't accept internet coupons. Then it was no internet coupons over $1. Now we accept all of them, but we have lists of known counterfeit coupons that we have to check everyday and the coupons have to have a lot of information on them in order to accept them. I think I'm probably the only cashier who actually checks all the info on the coupons, but I'd rather not get written up or fired over a coupons that gave someone a free Swiffer or something. The best bet if you want to use internet coupons is to call the store you intend to go to, ask them if there's a limit to the number you can use, the discounted amount and if there's any information that has to be printed on the coupon. The website it came from, for example must be on the coupon and must be very clear in order for us to accept it.

Hi! I had this problem with my local walmart, but they have recently started accepting them again. You can talk to the manager and explain that most of these coupons have a bar code, and if they scan then the walmart should accept them. My local walmart had people taking advantage of the internet coupons, by printing them out and then copying them over and over. It made it hard on the honest people who were just trying to save on their grocery bill.
