21st century has a new way of dumping people, its through text messaging. I admit, i was once dumped through a text message and dumped someone through it too. What can you say about breaking up through text messages? Have you ever been dumped or dumped some one through a text message? What did you feel? We are on a high-tech generation, everything is so High Tech, its 21st century!

I HATE IT!. period
lol yah i hate how someone can just text you with a personal matter like breaking up, they should have the decency to talk to you in person., what happened to that relationship you guys worked so hard on, doesn't relationships based on communicating to each by personal means? so that means you guys know each other enough to talk it out, right??..
-uhm guilty too

You made a point in there korki4, but you know, sometimes breaking up with someone is really hard, and not all people could say it infront of the person. I was dumped once through a text message, and it was really painful, and to the fact that he did on a text message only, i pity my self. I dont know other peoples mind, and how they take advatage of this gadget. I guess it really makes their life easier, because its not easy to hurt someone and seeing them crying and hurting because of you breaking up, might be something that they couldn't bear to see. So they just tend to dumped and end it with just a text message.

texting such a cold way to break up with some one. personally nothing says we're through than visual face to face and showing emotions thats real thats close. Texting is so impersonal and cold and not to mention lazy. Its just really shows a person's lack of emotion attachment to do that. its fine if its like abooty call or just a buddy lay but an actual relationship? face to face should still always be the way to go

In a way it is better than just someday not ever hearing from your partnet again. I wasn't dumped by text message or even a phone call. One day I tried to get ahole of my b/f at the time and kept getting his answering message. It went on for over a week then I decided that was enough.I left a final message that said, I get your message by your lack of any message. He eventually sent me an email 7 months later that he was stupid and he wanted me back.I eventually took him back but it didn't last too long and got the same treatment so I have since decided getting back with an ex is a bad idea because there was a REASON we were not together in the first place. I'd prefer something rather than nothing from a spineless dumb @$$

I must say dumping someone by text message is pretty rotten. I wouldn't appreciate it if a man did that to me and i wouldn't do that to anyone either. During my time of dating, I usually broke up with someone over the phone, but we talked. It wasn't no text messaging. Wow
I guess under certain circumstances text messaging is better. It's better than getting the door slammed in your face which happened to the poster before me.
