How many houses have you lived in?

I'll be 76 in October. My Grandfather bought this farm where I am living in 1905. My father was born in the downstairs bedroom of the old farmhouse that same year. 28 years later I was born in the same bedroom. When I was married in 1955 my parents moved to town, and I lived in that house for 36 years, until when my son was married, and he moved into the farmhouse. I built a new 3 bedroom bungalow just up the road, but still on the original Farm. I've lived in this new house for 30 years as of July 15th of this year. I would not want to live anywhere else, because I like living here on this Centennial Farm. PS. A Few years ago the Municipality gave our Family Name to the road that runs through the Farm.

Since my parent's home I have also lived in 6 houses, I have lived here for 18 yrs. that is the longest I have lived in any house.

When I was a child my parents often moved, and it sometimes made me sad because I didn't want to move, I didn't want to leave the house, the neighbours etc. I decided that I was going to stay at the same place when I became an adult, but the my life didn't turn out that way, and truth is I have moved a lot of times since I left my parents house. I have moved more often than my parents did I have lived in about 15 different houses since I left my parents house. Right now I live in a house in the countryside and my husband and I moved here about 9 months ago.

Well I'm 52 years old and since moving out of my parents home I have moved about 7 times. 4 of those 7 were to apartments. The last three times were to a house. The first house was a two family house in which my brother-in-law had brought. I was his tenant. Then he and my sister moved and I brought the house from them. So I then moved again upstairs. I lived in that house for 21 years owning it for 11 years of the 21 years. I sold the house and moved to New Mexico and thought this was going to be the last move. It looks like I will be moving one more time after I sale this house and this will be a big move, to Puerto Rico.

I don't want to even try to count how many in all. However, I know I have only lived in one house more than 5 years. I have moved a lot! I try not to collect a lot of junk because I never know when I might need to move again!
