Hello All,
My husband and I recently came back from our Honeymoon in Paris and a few cities in Italy. We were only able to stay in Paris for 5 days, I know that's not even scratching the surface. I know we missed a lot of things in Paris and we want to go back ASAP.
Share with me what you love about Paris whether it be specific cultural differences, landmarks/sites, specific foods, etc. I'll keep your replies in mind the next time we go back so that I can keep an eye out!
Thank you,
Bingding2

I love the Eiffel Tower. I learned there that it was engineered by Gustav Eiffel.

All the great art museums. The Louvre is probably the most popular and most well know, but be sure to check others. I would highly recommend the Musee D'Orsay. Best bet is to get a museum pass, it gives unlimited entries to many museums and you don't need to wait in line to enter.
Don't forget to walk around. There aren't many places you can't walk to. It may take longer to get to where you are going, but then you won't miss any of the wonderful sites.

Thank you for your input. We made sure to get a Paris Pass while there, which helped tremendously! It was nice to skip to the front of the line. Were there any memorable restaurants that you went to and what did you eat?

Oh, I love so many things about Paris! The Louvre is one of my favorite places to go to because I am in love with art and the collection there is exceptional. When I was visiting the Louvre, I was so excited to see the Mona Lisa up close. It was a dream come true. As for other great places in Paris, the St. Germain area of Paris is really adorable and quaint. The Latin Quarter in Paris is another place I love because it's very lively and wonderful for night life. But, my favorite place of all time in Paris is probably Montmartre, which is the little hilltop village in Paris. I love how it is full of local artists, cobbled streets and beautiful sceneries. The last time I was in Montmartre I got my portrait done by an artist on the street. It was really great. I am actually going to Paris in a few weeks, so I can't wait!

Hi brister, thank you for your insight. I totally agree with you about the night life! I also love how they drink in the streets without trying to star a fight, unlike here in CA. They just have fun! I loved Montmarte, but when we went to see the Sacre Coeur, we were stopped by a group of guys trying to tie a string around our wrists while climbing, which ruined the experience because I decided to take the Funicular. Which was fun too, but I wish I got to climb the hill!
Have fun in Paris and let us know how it goes!

I have been to Paris twice. Paris absolutely is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, many many awesome attractions. The two places I was so amazed about were Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. Eiffel Tower definetle is an architectural engineering feat. I was so excited to see Mona Lisa painting in the Louvre Museum. Yes, I am looking forward to visiting Paris again !

I have been to Paris a couple of times. The first time I was just a child and my parents took me to Louvre. I thought it was so boring, and I would much rather have seen the Eiffel tower Now I am an artist myself, and Louvre has become one of my favourite places in Paris! I can spend many hours there, but I have only seen a small part of it, and I hope to visit Louvre again one day. Another place in Paris that I like very much is the church called Sacre Coeur. I also like the latin quarter very much.
