I always reply to a post made by new users.
Until now I can't help myself to laugh.
From previous day I responded one user asking..."Who are here in mylot from Philippines"...
Now I see his post is only one!
I am thinking why of all the responses he did not comment to increase his post
Then I smile oh yes, this man just drop by on the last three years...
When you respond do you check the date when was the topic started?

i don't check the date when a discussion was started but sometimes i do notice it. i hhink a lot new users and new friends will go thru a persons profile and look thru discussions to find something that interests them and that's how some of the older discussions pop back to life:)

I kind of check the date I guess...but I usually comment on the new user ones, until I get tired of telling people that they aren't going to get rich on myLot, and then I go to the recent ones. And I only comment if they aren't a week old with like 30 plus posts. Because by then, no one really cares what I have to say anyway. I also try to stick to topics that I have an interest in and actually know something about. I probably spend way to much time in the politics section!

I sometimes check the date on the post. And sometimes, i even look through the posts that have no comments, and if i find an interesting one that is logical, then i will try to post a response.

I have a simple system which keeps changing as I notice. First, I started new discussions and waited for the responses to come rolling in. None or very few came and I started to get bored. Then I looked at other discussions and chose the things that I liked. That also got boring and I tried other things, other styles.

Yep i do check for the date before responding...
Actually sometimes i do more reading of intresting topics, then responding on them..
If the discussion is a bit too old, i prefer not to respond ,as i'm not sure the discussion starter is yet there to read the responses..., and everytime there's a current new thread with same discussion, in similar discussion column..., where i can reply....

Of course, I am checking on the date that the topic started. I even laughed to find out some of the members have only few points, it only means they don't find Mylot very interesting. However that is there decision. Moreover, there are many Filipino members here, maybe he or she did not received any response.

hi zearah! well, the first thing i do when i reply to a question is check the date when it was posted. that's usually what i look for because i don't want to reply to those very old topics. usually, i don't reply when it's already 2 weeks old. then the next thing i look at the topic is if it's already resolved and the creator has already chosen the best reply. i no longer reply to resolved topics because there is a great chance that the creator no longer cares about your reply.
