Is God being feeble minded about our elections?

So I read from the news to day that another presidentiable claims to have "sensed" that the Lord wants him to run for the elections. Does that mean that God will be on his side and that he will win? What about the other one who has also claims that same thing since last elections? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing about hearing from God or being sensitive to what He wants us to do. But isn't that going to make the people more confused? So who heard from God correctly? Tell me about what you think.

This post is funny. I don't know why they keep saying that. Maybe, they want people to think that they're the chosen one or something. It's funny actually, that you've observed this. As for me, I don't care if he says he was chosen to become the next president. If by my standards he shouldn't, then I won't vote for him. Many people could easily say this kind of things, and politicians are well known for lying, or making false promises, for the sake of getting votes, so it's best not to believe everything they say. Especially if it's something that had already been said so many times.

I do hope a lot of people are like you, making their choices based on what they think is right and not because they were manipulated by the politicians or by the people around them. I think we would have a much better election results if that is the case. Thanks for responding

I admit that Panlilio's start in political career was indeed very controversial as he was priest at that time when he ran for governorship and he won over his political rivals against big and moneyed people in that province and till now he is being challenged by his opponents there of many accusations and issues in that province. Although I see him as respectable and seemingly straight person, I still feel that it is not appropriate for him to run for the highest position in the land. I can say he lacks the needed experience and exposure to show to the whole nation that he is indeed qualified to be in that position. Being a governor for such a short time is not enough to let everybody in the nation know who he is and what he has done in the province to deserve such position for him.

I agree, he lacks the experience and knowledge to run a country. He can't just depend on his advisers because they can take advantage of his ignorance of how political things work. In the end, he might get all the blame.
