If people teach their children to worship a god who hates their imperfections and may send them to BURN IN HELL if they don't believe in the glory sordid tale of his son's death to save them from such a fate, is that OK?

Personally, I am not a big fan of "organized religion". I would place what you described as a form of child abuse if the child be told this really 100% did not believe in what he was being taught. I do not think anyone, regardless of who the are (or think they are) should be able to force their beliefs on to anyone. I think that if you have a kid who doesn't believe the same way that you do, you should help them figure out what they really do believe in and support them even if you do not agree. Just because you think it is wrong does not mean that it is, especially when it comes to religion.

Couldn't you also say that condemning your child to BURN IN HELL by refusing to teach them about God and how to worship Him is a form of child abuse? It all depends on what you believe in.
With all the real child abuse that goes on in this world, I think teaching a child to fear their God (christian, jewish, islam, whatever) can hardly qualify as child abuse.
