I have been cooking since I was in grade 4. And when I say I've been cooking, I mean I am cooking foods that are not so ordinary. Most of the kids only know how to fry and boil, but me, at a very young age, I already know how to cook dishes with sauces and I also know how to bake. I attended a birthday party last week and they asked me to cook a pasta sauce. My friends were so amazed that I was not using any measuring spoons or cups. I kept on pouring the ingredients in the casserole without the fear of making the food taste bad because of disproportion of ingredients. I can actually say if the food is too salty or to bland by sniffing it. LOL! My friends find it so weird because unlike me they carefully measure every ingredients that they are using in cooking. How about you? Do you use a measuring spoon and cups when cooking?

It depends on what I'm cooking, for the most part I do but then when I add herbs or spices pretty much. No I don't. That kinda gets me in trouble sometimes though. I kind of tend to cook enough for an army unless I'm careful. Which leaves a lot of food for just two people.

When I first started learning to cook I used measuring tools, but once I got comfortable in the kitchen I stopped. I eye everything that needs measured and normally don't even follow recipes. I just make up my own recipes as I go along and it has served me well. I've yet to create a dish that the family wouldn't eat.

I had never use any measuring cups and spoons when cooking. I don't know why, It seems that its just easy to not used it and also less dishes to do to. I just estimate what need to be put it. My food has never lack any thing.
