I would cry if I ever lost my job since I have the only job in our household. However, it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I think the only way I'd lose my job is if the store folded. My boss doesn't like to fire people unless there's a really good reason, and usually the only one you really have to worry about is if you're caught stealing. He will fire you, and then he will prosecute you for it. I guess you could call what I have job security.

If I lost my job today, first I would be shocked because I think I'm good at working at my job. Even if it is fast food right now lol. I don't think I would get stressed out though. But second I would get on the computer right away and look at current job openings and look at the paper. I would try really hard to just try and find another job that I know I would be good at. In between the time I would sit and right all day on mylot, and work on my other paid websites.

My husband is retired, and we are both on disability, so it would not matter to us. We don't have any jobs to lose.

Hello Grandma. How are you ? Yes, these days, with the recession all over, there is a risk of losing jobs. I have a full time job, and I still have it, and things are going fairly well. But, one has to be prepared for the worse too. I am taking a few professional courses which could help me in changing the profession. This is , just in case.

I lost my job of 29yrs two years ago. I had been a music teacher and the school I was teaching at shut down. This was a private school.
I looked for the longest time trying to find another job, but where I lived unemployment is very high and you have 100's of people competing for a few jobs.
SO I finally decided to move to another state. That was the best decision I could have ever made. Within 3 weeks I had a new job and was able to begin paying off some bills that had gotten neglected.
I am now working on building up my online earnings so if that ever happens again I will be better prepared

My husband & I are 3/4 of the way into this situtation now. He lost his job at the end of last year & I am only working 3 days a week. He collect unemployment & brings home about $20-30 less per week than he made when he was working. I collect under-employment to make up for working part time. If I lost my job totally, we would probably lose our house & either be living with my brother or in our van.

Hi, even though I'm not happy at work I cannot lose it since I need to pay my home loan and other bills. Unless I have another income there is where I'm staying for now. Thanks goodness my job is secure unless I do something irregular and get suspended. In my country though there were many people who lost their job, some have been placed in other companies but it must be really tough especially for young couples who like me have loans to pay.

Well, I lost my job at the beginning of the year. I always thought of the day I was on a situation like that so I always saved money to live for at least six months until I get another job. Fortunately I speak two languages (there's always someone in the need of private lessons, I play the guitar, so I played in a few bars on weekends, I also know how to repair and do maintenance for computers, so I have been able to get some money to get by. I recently ot a nice job, I start on Monday. My advice is to be versatil and creative, and most important don't spend all your money, save for difficult situations and you'll be fine while you manage to get a job or think on an idea to get money.
Regards
Julian

Losing your job does not mean the end of the world although it may be a big blow to your ego and to your sustenance specially in these times of economic difficulties, and depending on what role you play in your family.
It helps to burst out your angst, your pain, and your frustrations but don't let your emotions get the better of you. Instead use it to re-assess and re-discover yourself, your strengths, and your capabilities. Rise above your pain and find opportunities that may be just waiting for you.
Remember, when God closes a door, He opens several windows.
