dont know what i'd do without my friends here. i've gotten so much good advice. just last week i asked about netflix and took your advice. its one of the best things i've tried yet. i got a movie yesterday. watched it, sent it back and tonight i just watched a kids movie called "Wallie" my grandkids had told me about it. dont know how long its been out but i was a big kid and decided if no one knew i could watch it on my pc I LOVED IT! LOL! been a long time since i've gotten that engrossed in a kids movie. have any of you seen it? its about what could happen to the world if we dont go green soon. btw, watched it on my pc cause, would you believe it? my DVD player went on the fritz. anyway, anyone know where would be a good place to find a reasonabley priced large screen to hook to my laptop? my son says it can be done. is that true? oh btw, you can get instant access to movies on your pc with netflix and it doesnt effect your price or amount of movies you have out.

I have not tried Netflix yet. We have such a diverse movie network with our cable company, that we can generally find something to watch! I do like to browse the previously viewed DVD racks at the local movie gallery though. If there is a movie I've seen on HBO or Cinemax that I really want for my library...I can get it sometimes as low as $5

Sure, Netflix is awesome.
I've been a member for five years,
since my daughter was born and can't imagine
my life without it.
They have an amazing selection of movies
they will mail you (over 100,000) and then they
let you watch 10,000 movies/TV shows online.
And they are always changing out the online movies
to keep things fresh and even have Starz play.
So many people pay extra for that.
What I love best about Netflix is that they are
understanding. Several times, the movies got lost
in the mail and they forgave us and let us keep
renting as if nothing had happened.
Now that's trust!
And, they let me change my subscription plan on
a monthly basis to fit my budget.
For instance, when we lost the main income in the house,
I was able to cut our Netflix bill from $40 (6 movies at a time plan)
to two movies for $15 month (unlimited) with unlimited
online viewing.
I'm their biggest fan and would recommend them to anyone.
Glad to hear you are enjoying your Netflix subscription.
P.S. No, we haven't seen Wallie yet, but have heard about it.
I'm sure my daughter will enjoy the movie tremendously.
She liked Toy Story and I think they were made by the same people,
PIXAR.
Can't remember.
Anyway, thanks for a really fun topic.
Nice chatting with you today.

Yes, I did see Wallie. It was cute wasn't it? I enjoyed it also. I am sure you can hook up anything to your laptop that you want as long as you have the right gizmo to connect it to the laptop. I watch an occasional movie on my PC. I love Netflix. I may have been one of the ones that gave you some information about it. It is great! I don't use as much in the summer as I do in the winter. My list of movies is very long. They have a great selection too, don't they?

Cool!! I'm glad you got it. Although I have Blockbuster, it's the same concept. I just love it - we have 3 movies waiting to be watched now. I don't watch them on my pc because I like the comfort of my couch.
I did see Wall-e a while ago. It was pretty cute! Sometimes I like the kid movies better than the adult movies.
ENJOY!

I think Wall-E even got nominated for a couple of Oscars. Whatever it got nominated for, I know it got fantastic reviews. I would like to see it. I'm glad you like Netflix. I absolutely love it. I also get on to watch old episodes of shows like CSI: Miami. Netflix is so much better than my local Blockbuster. lol

yes im thinking so to. because we usually rent 2 or3 from blockbusters. we have to have them back certain time watched or not, they cost around 5 bucks a peice so this is much better.

Hey bunny! I've heard of that movie and wanted to watch it too!
I used to watch movies on my computer sometimes when I would
be up very late at night! I loved it! My young friend showed
me some "free" sites where I could watch brand new movies
that have just come out! Now I have a DVD player (boyfriend's)
so he rents some on the weekends for us to watch! Only thing
is he brings home horror flicks and other stuff that I won't
watch! Every now and then he brings home something that I
will actually watch with him! But, it's like $3 for each movie
to rent and they aren't even worth it for the weekend! But,
it's his money and his player!

Why don't you just connect your computer to your tv so you can watch movies that way? Go to: http://www.stretcher.com/stories/09/09jun01a.cfm and scroll down to "technical details". That way, you can watch the movie on your tv screen and avoid the cost of a larger monitor. That is, if your pc is reasonably close to your television.

Hi bunnybon7,
I am glad you can watch movies on your pc and enjoying it, my how things have changed and its amazing what you can get on your pcs these days, but i won't as I am not much of a movie buff and don't really have the time to sit and watch it, but you have great time. Hugs.
