Hello adellene, I too enjoy playing the game of Poker! I used to think that it was a game based solely on luck, but lately I've realized that a great deal of skill and decision-making is involved in every round of betting. It is especially great fun to try to master the psychology of your opponents - trying to get into their heads, identify their thoughts, and manipulate them to your advantage! I always try to call until I see the flop. This is because even when I have some statistically weak hands, such as 2-4 unsuited, the flop has turned out to be A-3-5 giving me a straight at once. When you mean 3 flowers I assume you mean calling when the flop is 3 clubs? If I have clubs then I don't call, I raise - especially if I have two clubs as my hole cards. However if I don't then I play very conservatively and watch how the other players bet - if anybody raises suspiciously then I can be sure they have a club or two and are heading for the flush (which usually does actually materialize). I then quickly fold - play the game smart - don't let emotions take over you and call, just for calling's sake because you think they are a bluffer.
