okay, i admit there are times that i really feel very lazy. just like today, i feel like i don't want to do anything but just lay down my bed or just watch tv...
i feel like my body is so heavy that i can't really afford to do anything in the house. i am not sick, i am just lazy! and if i try to push my self to do what i need to do in the house, i really feel annoy!
but this is something that just happens to me once in a while...and i don't like when its happening coz it really gives me a bad mood and to my husband as well...
how about you? do you feel the same way sometimes?
do think laziness is something that all of us have in our body?
i know being lazy if becomes habitual is not good and very unhealthy...so what to do to avoid this laziness?
thanks and have a nice day!

I used to have this teacher last time and he asked all of us. What is the most dangerous sickness to have? And we were all answering diabetes, cancer and stuff like that.. but he gave an answer that all of us were surprised.
It is laziness.
He said that laziness is the number one factor for everything in a person's life to crumble. Lazy to go to work, no money and hence, no revenue to pay things and buy things and enjoy oneself for fulfilling their passion and hobbies.
After giving it a good thought, I think what my teacher said was true..

hi zed! yes i also agree that your teacher is right! and i believe it is even written on the bible that laziness is actually a sin...laziness as in those people who do not work for a living but instead just sleep the whole day and do nothing...people who just wait for help from other people...people like these will never prosper in their life...and their life will become miserable...
thanks zed for sharing!

That's normal girl.
I remember my mother said that when the monthly period would soon come or has started this when you would not feel good to work. Or another possible reason is that you're on early stage of pregnancy, hmmmm. Congratulations!
But I think motivation and willingness to attain a goal will defeat that laziness as you call. When you have in mind to reach like you want to have a higher income or you want to make more posts here in mylot then you could do such. Well this is based on my own experience. Not because of the second reason I have mentioned(I'm certified single, never been touched but kissed).

haha...zearah, i wish i have the second reason! heheehe but its not coz i am just done with my period! hehehe
know what, its really difficult whenever i feel this way coz i still have things to do in the house, like cooking. i need to do this no matter how i feel lazy coz if not, me and my husband will be hungry...i am sometimes bad coz whenever i feel this way, when i cook, you will hear all the pans and anything in the kitchen coz i want to throw them! hehehe...really difficult to push ourselves to do things that we don't want to do at time...
have a nice day...and thanks! but here in mylot, i never feel lazy. hehhee

thanks for that zearah!
but know what? i am really doing those things to fight boredom and i really want my place to have changes always...to look new! hehehe but you know, if this laziness hits me...nothing can really make me excited! hehehe...my muscles don't want to move! hehehe maybe its just because i want to do another thing...hehehe
thanks again my friend.

Oh, there's another reason other than I mentioned.
Hmmmmmm that's none on the above right!
It's a natural laziness I guess.
Try to excite yourself...
In doing that particular thing..
I mean you would try new steps pr procedures
Example in cooking try to cook new recipe... imagine that your husband will appreciate that one.
In your environment too you can at least change the settings..
Your sofa change the position or anything possible.
The point here is usually when there is new we could be excited to do... something

hi ck
I am lazy .. very lazy .. defination for lazy in dictionary can actually refer to Garfield and me ... we are kinda twins
But then ... due to some reasons I have to get up at 5am do my prayers.. By 7am prepare drink for my husband, 9am be in office (meet up at leate 4 clients a day inclusive 1 or 2 difficult client), go home after paper work only by 7.00pm - prepare dinner (as we are vegetarian for time being - and i am better cook than other restaurants), wash all the dishes and be in mylot for a while and sleep almost at 12.00mn
Saturdays/Sundays ... i have to do laundry/marketing/cleaning/cooking .. and other time spent watching tv and sleeping
cheers

hahaha...and you are lazy with that? huh!
well, there are really things that we need to do even if how lazy we are...i think you are really a good and responsible wife. coz even if you said you are lazy, you still manage to do all those things! me, i can also do those things but the problem is, there are times that i really feel lazy about doing it...even just thinking all the works, make me feel soooo lazy!
thanks for sharing my friend...believe me, i think you are not lazy!

I think that laziness is OK,but not in large amounts. You can't be that lazy so you don't want to get up from the bed.You just gotta have something that motivates you.At least one thing(a hobby for example) that you like to do.If you don't have that either,it's not okay. You have to think about it.
Plus,the smartest people on earth,people who invented thing,were lazy,not hardworking ;)

I think being lazy from time to time is something very natural in human being because first of all we cannot be always active and wanting to do things around, we can also feel lazy and do not want to do anything and we do not feel good either to see things around, so I believe that laziness is completely natural though. To avoid laziness then we can drink much water in day and we can also try to find new things to do to change our mood.

Hi,
Laziness always follows us. Almost everyone feels that they are lazy in sometimes. It's very normal to be lazy in sometime. But everything should be limited. It's also applicable to laziness. We should balance diligence and laziness. Don't be very lazy, as it is not good not only to our lives but also to our health. Make some changes, and life will be better. You can make some schedules or rules and keep doing anythings in compliance with those rules.
Happy mylotting!

Hi cky!
I think it quite natural to feel lazy sometimes. When our body is tired or we are little bit unwell or if we are taking some medicines for some illness, we tend to feel lazy. On weekends, I also feel lazy and do not feel like doing anything, till my partner asks for it...........LOL! During weekends, laziness takes over me and I just feel like curling on my bed and love to sleep and sleep.

Hello Cky!
I will have to but agree with you that working couples feel like 'resting' on weekends after hectic week days and so do we. However, even if you are a house manager (I mean right now if you are not working) you have every right to take rest or in other words 'be lazy' on weekends or some other days, when you don't feel excited about your activities. You see being lazy has its own charm and benefits. and sometimes it can be afforded.

hello deepak!
well i guess, for working people, its really natural to feel that way during the weekends! hehhee coz when i was still working way back...i am also like that! Mondays-Fridays i am very energetic and works as if there's no tomorrow...but when it is finally Saturday and Sunday...well i sleep like there is no tomorrow! hehehe and good that my mom lets me do that...
but now is a different story for i am a stay at home wife...i feel like i don't have the right to feel lazy now coz if so...huh! things will not do well...hehehe
thanks deepak for being here...

Hello there ^_^ I'm back into your wonderful discussion again!! lol =D
Definitely, laziness is in everybody and it's natural ^_^ NObody can be working for life or every moment ^_^ There are some days in my life whereby i dun feel like doing anything at all.. SOme might call it laziness, but i do say it's taking a break from my usual routine.. lol =D BEcause it's not as if everyday we are doing nothing right?? hehe ^_^
If i'm feeling lazy for the day and there's nothing important, i wont be forcing myself to do what i dun wish to do.. I dun even care if my parents wanna nag at me or what, but i just wont wanna budge.. haha =D UNless i'm feeling sore from all lying down, only then i will start to walk around or go for my run instead.. hehe ^_^
NO wonder i din see u for the whole day in mylot huh?? lol =D

haha =D For me, i just feel lazy because i'm not doing things which i'm supposed to be doing everyday.. Even walking to the kitchen to wash my cup, i find it too troublesome as well, when most of the time, i will even wash all the dirty cups.. hha =D
As for u, u can be lazy for a day.. Just like my mom, she will be lazy for a day or two, by not doing any housework at home, such as sweeping and mopping floor, washing of clothes, cooking etc.. To her, housework is more like passing time only.. If she's lazy, she will just be watching tv and eating for the whole day.. haha =D If she cant stand the messiness at home, then she will go out instead.. haha
So, i think u can do the same thing like my mom does too ^_^ hehe

oh no...i can't do what your mother is doing... i will feel guilty if i don't cook for my husband coz he will become hungry and me also...maybe you will say to just buy foods outside but there's no good restaurant or food shop near us...and still i am tired and feel lazy in going out...
well i think your mom knows how to give her self some relaxation...hehehe and good that no one is forcing her to do things that she don't want to do when she feels lazy...

hehehe...actually its not because i feel lazy that's why i am not around...its because my husband is here all day long and he uses the computer!
now, back to laziness...well with you i think it will be just okay to just lay down the whole day if you don't feel to do anything...its okay coz you have your mother with you and she can do things for you...and nagging is just what you can get...but you can also ignore that nag from your mom...but me...i can't do that coz i am the one who expects to do the works in the house...and no matter how much i feel lazy or no matter how much i want to just lay down there...it can't be...and that irritates me sometimes! and sometimes forced me to do something that i don't want to do...well i guess that's part of me being a housewife!

hello.
i think it's natural?? even the workaholic persons can feel it too sometimes when they feel that they have done too much for that day.
in addition, i think that nobody wants to work hard to earn money if they can work little with the same amount of money to be earned.
in your case, maybe you just want to relax, it's okay but don't make it a habit that you'll do nothing for the whole day. maybe you just need to find the right motivation for you to be able to do your job..:) happy mylotting.

Hahaha... I do not used the term "lazy", I will call it
"rest & relax" if we do it once in awhile! Sometimes we
just want to rest after a long project, we just want to
do nothing, sit on the couch, flipping magazines, listening
to music and unwind. I think nothing is wrong with that..
it is good for our body and mind BUT if everyday you do not
feel like get out from your bed, or your room and do nothing
at all, nothing seem interesting to you, THEN you better buckup
before "Laziness" take over you... Happy myLotting!

well i think its all in the mind.if you think you can do it you can do it..its all psychological...e.g if its your exam you cannot show laziness.. or if someone says you are receiving a prize money you will not show laziness then because these are the things you have to or like to do.so whenever you feel lazy think of your interest in the work or advantage from that work... in my case i just think that i can and i will do it and i dnt feel lazy.

Yes, it is most specially if they are not in the mood they feel like sleepy.just like what happened to me the other where i felt as sleep in the middle of mylotting. then woke up after 30 seconds i lean my head to the monitor. sometimes the term there is sleeping and relaxing..

Oh yeah, it's very natural to people. There are always times where I just want to sit on the computer all day, and I usually end up doing so. The bad thing about it is that the more you let yourself get lazy, the more lazy you become. It becomes a habit and if you want to get rid of it, you have to discipline yourself and get used to doing productive things. Good luck everyone!

Well, I think everyone has those days. I know I have had them. However, I have a theory about where they come from. I truly believe that about 80% (or even as much as 90%) of our lethargy is a product of what we eat. I believe the rest is in our heads. We just don't "feel like it."
In order to combat laziness, you have to commit yourself to NOT being lazy. This can be done regardless of what you're eating, although it is harder if you are in the middle of a sugar crash.
I have noticed that as I have been eating much better throughout the past week, my energy levels have increased a great deal. I still let the dusting slide this past weekend, so it definitely isn't a cure-all for laziness, but eating right does help!
I find that exercise helps not only put me in a better mood, but gets my blood flowing and my metabolism boosted enough to give me energy to get some things done. When I workout in the mornings before work, I feel like I could conquer the world! I have physically observed a change in my mood after running with my dogs. I remember saying to myself, "Man, I am just in a funk! Maybe if I go for a run, I will feel better about myself." And it worked! I was on the cheery side of life by the time I had returned a short while later, with two very tired mutt-mutts!
So, in short, laziness affects everyone. But eating right and making a commitment to yourself to NOT be lazy is the key to overcoming it.

yea i have my days when im just so lazy ill wake up around 1 pm and just lay around all day watching tv and eat food. Ithinks its natural for us to be lazy every once and awhile. As long as its not an everyday thing because thats very unhealthy. Well i think that to avoid lazyness you need to do something fun like a hobby and then when your feeling less lazy then you try to get some work done.
