I text message all the time, I have a plan on my cell phone where I can text all I want but the minutes I talk count against the minutes I have on my monthly plan.
If I send a text, it gets me the info I need and a quick answer without having to go through a whole conversation that can last a long time.
If I can text, I will. Sometimes, depending on where I'm at, it's more convenient to text.
The problem I have with it,yes, it gets boring and after a certain amount of time, the ringtone I have for text messages gets really old and annoying and I'm always changing it.

I text alot, but mostly because my girlfriend and I go to different schools. but that is still my main way of communicating with people. It is quick and doesn't interrupt them if they are busy. It can get boring after awhile, I know what you mean with that, but all in all I'm glad I have it on my plan. Makes life much simpler.

I am not really interested in taking the time to text. I occasionally send text messages to my husband to let him know when I'm going to come home in the evenings, but as a regular form of communication, text messaging just does not interest me. I prefer to either talk on the phone, or send a regular e-mail.

Yes .. Like You Mostly People Like to Voice their Concern .. But Sometimes Due to Constraints A Person Might Not be Able To lift The Mobile .. On Such Circumstances Text Messaging Is Indeed Helpful ..

Hi prashanthalva, I completly refuse to learn how to do it, I loathe that type of language and especially hate the loud bleep when my phone announces I have one. Everyone who knows me knows I simply do not text and have no interest in learning. It's bad enough being at the beck and call of a mobile, but at least then you can choose to ignore it, but loud bleeps emitted, no way.

Hi prashanthalva, well if I'm in the house I tend to put it somewhere out of signal range so only the house phone rings, it's crazy trying to talk on it most of the time as the reception isn't good. I like to have it if I'm driving in case I break down or to synchornise meeting places with someone. Most times though I never actually hear it ringing in my bag.

I prefer calling than using SMS message. Its easier to dial a number than to spend a minute or two to type a message. Here in the country where I live, text messaging is more expensive than a one-minute call so I prefer dialing numbers.

OK .. In Most of the Countries I Thought Text Messaging Was Cheaper .. Text Messaging is Also Used When You Just Want To Send The Message across Without Actually Disturbing that Person .. It does Take Plenty Of effort Typing All The Alphabets ..

Yes i totally agree with you,if we do something for a long period of time we will be bored after some time but we do sms with someone we love very much ,then it will never be bored.
