I believe that the purpose of souls coming to earth is not to satisfy selfish desires but rather to make it a better place for all to live. Some will say that we are here to learn yet what better way to learn than working together for the betterment of all? What are you thoughts?

We were born to pay our karmic debts .
Once our karmic debts for this life have been paid , we have to depart like the patrons of an inn.
Happy mylotting !

We are chips off the Old Block (the Old Block being God) and we do not begin life at birth- life just continues. It does appear that we learn as we live, but this is an illusion. To make reincarnation work we must forget the past, and experience the future. We are "born" to experience and to that end we create our lives moment by moment. Past lives seen via meditation, quickly reveal the progression made in each lifetime. We are seldom tempted to relive a past life, and always eager to create an experience in the Glorious Future.

WHY NOT TO ASK THE CREATOR ALMIGHTY WHY HE CREATED US ??
God Almighty clearly says in His last Divine Book, the Holy Quran:
"I HAVE NOT CREATED THE JINN(GHOSTS) AND MEN EXCEPT FOR THIS THAT THEY SHOULD WORSHIP ME."
(Surah Adh-Dhariyat,Chap 27,Verses 56,57,58)
So we are required to worship Him alone without indulging in Polytheism, which is the biggest and most heinous sin in Islam and Quran.
Please think over your aim of life in the light of the last divine verdict of God Almighty.........And then you will surely succeed in both your lives.......amen !!

Human beings are the only living organisms that are obsessed with the "Why" of existence and the "Why" of being born. There really doesn't have to be a reason.
Nature and life exists as it is, and changes happen over time. Life is always on the move and resists remaining static and unchanging.
Things are just the way they are, because that's the way they came to be. Is it possible that things could have been very different? Yes, because life is dynamic and ever-changing.

Hello Pose. It is an interesting question to have been raised as to why we were born. I think that in the first place it is not what we can choose to be born or not as it is our parents that make the decision. hehehe. Since we were born, I think that we have the duty or responsibility to make some improvement and progress for the society and make some innovations as well. We also have to make the world a peaceful one without making wars to make humans suffer any more unnecessary wars and so on. Thank you so much for the discussion, dear friend.

Hi williamjisir, Thanks for commenting. It's true that our parents had to do their part lol!. I think you would agree though that there is more to us than the physical body, in fact I rarely think of myself as my body. I believe that you have the right idea as to what we should be doing now that we are here. Blessings.

Like God (yeah.. I'm gonna toss the Bible into the discussion.. don't slap me!) told Adam.. it is not good that man should be alone.
I think we are here to keep each other company and to teach and to learn from those around us, some of life's hardest lessons are easier with someone there beside you.. and probably the nicest gift in the world is having someone to share some of life's sweetest blessings with.
It truly isn't good for anyone to be alone. God knew his creation.. and he knew being alone would hurt to much. Even God, himself, didn't like being alone :)

We're born maybe to experience life. hehe corny but we're lucky to be a part of the creation. Everything we do maybe is supposed to protect and preserve this creation. So we have to do things in order to survive. We learn to take the challenges of existence with this so called world.

I believe that the reason why I am here on earth and why I live is to worship my God, the Creator of heaven and earth. For me to worship Him, I need to learn how to love my neighbors as I love myself. Thus, I learn to work together with others. Pose, I totally agree with you....:)
