Remember phone numbers before mobile/handphones arrived?
Some remember like this:
Lets say the number is 9744670603
1)974 - 467 - 060 - 3
2)Ninety Seven - Forty Four - Sixty Seven - Zero - Six - Zero - Three
3)9744 - 6706 - 03
4)Nine Hundred Seventy Four - Four Hundred Sixty Seven - Zero - Six Hunderd Three
5) The movement of your hand on the keypad of the phone?
That's how I remember...movement of my hand!
I remember nearly 140 numbers at the tip of my fingers.

Hi Candy,
This is really a different discussion and I am surprised by your way of thinking in starting this discussion. you catched out the point which we all peoples do in different way..
When if someone asks me anyones mobile number, I usually say according to the "pronounciation" of numbers. for eg., if a number is 9886554327, I will say 988,655,43,27. and hard numbers like 9842964758, i pronounce 9842,96,47,58 for easy understanding. Thats what i look for.. I see to that, I spell the numbers to the persons which is easy to understand. sometimes i even say 98655 at once as these first 5 are easy to remember. Thats it candy. nice to meet you.
