What do you usually do when you are upset?

Today, I just stay in the school for whole morning. My co-teacher and me decided to get our board certificate at the PRC. It is written there that we can claim it after 6 months.We are supposed to go there in month of May but because of our very busy schedule, we cannot find time to go there. And we think that this day is a good day to go there and get our board certificate in passing the licensure examination for teachers.It is already 8 months and for us, we think that the certificate is already made. Unfortunately, when we got there, they said that the board certificate is not yet okay. Me and my co-teacher were very upset. How can they have a response like that if they already put it on the stub that we can claim the board certificate after 6 months. It took us 2 hours before we got there and we set aside our task in the school just to go and get our board certificate but then, we thought we just wasted our time and money in going there and having nothing. We were both upset when we got home. How can some people be so delinquent with their duties?We feel very tired and very dissappointed on what had happened. :(

Best way is to vent out the anger or whatever you are feeling. If you dont have anyone or anything to do that, then write it in a notepad and then when you are done delete it :D Or else do some very intense physical workout or play some sport and vent out your frustration in that :) Or you can watch some funny cartoons like Tom n jerry (My all time favourite )

Agreed.Thats called cognitive therapy.Quite effective.Immediately the ehaling process shall start.Thats why sharing is considered to be therapeutic.In some cases when either u r not able to immediately contact the right person to confide into, best thing is to write it down.Thats gr8 thing.

This is a very good question.The best thing I am able do when I am upset is to know that I am upset.The moment I know and agree to myself that I am upset, the intrinsic mechanism in my mind starts working.It then takes the mind to normalcy.So I suggest, the moment something abnormal starts happening across the conscious level, start looking at it objectively.This is the first stage.Dont resist.Let it be.

there are lots of things i do when i get upset.. but the best thing to do is forget all about it and move on.. it is not easier said than done hehe...

That depends a lot on what causes me to be upset. If what happened to you had happened to me I'd feel upset too. Well, answering your question... when I am upset I do the things I know make me to relax. In my case those things are to draw, skate or go Jogging. Sometime I go for a movie, but if what makes me up set is something I cannot run away from... All I can do is to face head on and deal with it till it is over.

This is regrettable.i think when they are being unfairly treated,we must resist.you can appeal to the relevant agencies,regardless of the outcome,at least for their own efforts.i believe that all these could be satisfactorily resolved.good luck!

what i usually do when im upset is... ...i either just sleep and eat... since i can't fake a smile when upset, i go home and do movie or anime marathon...LOL

wow. hot topic! hi ,annierose, it's glad to see your topic and enjoy the answer written from "every body" . It is really upset if i were u meetting such damn suitation. when i were upset , i am several ways to relex, 1, i will go to play basketball with my friend, the delight from the team work is prefect . 2, i will go to sleep, if u cant fall asleep, listen to some favoriate musics; 3, eatting , as othen the case i eatting ice-cream to relex. it's nice to hearing u next time . keep your chin up!

it usually depends on how upset I am. if Im just a little I take a breath and tell myself to chill. If im really upset I may eat something sweet to feel better.

In fact in life such things happen to us all the time. We have no other way out but just accept it . When i am upset i will watch TV, do some reading or having something to eat . Sometimes i just think that life is short for us why don't we keep unhappy mood often ? Then i will be happy again.

I handle different situations different. In a case like yours, when I know I am bullied into a corner, I raised my voice. Shown some temper. This should tick them off a bit, to know that you are not about to take such sh*t from them. I have seen my colleagues treated badly, but I tend to get quicker attention. End result - my colleagues and I still did not get what we deserve, but at least I was not pushed around.

if i feel upset i usually go to swimming. it's a good way to let me forgeting what made me upset. sometimes go shopping is also a good way to take easy, however it does cost a lot. eating is another choice, but should be careful in case put one weight. everytime after big eating i feel regret. anyway the things that upset us will go away at last. Keep positive and be brave. then forget it.

when you are upset first thing to do is sit silently n relaxed . . dont think for what you are upset .. . . .take a deep breath . . . feel relax . . . .n . .if you are in little trouble which required immediate action . . then think for it . . .and find a way . .bu some times you are help less and unable to any thng . . .at that time think positive things of what the wrong things happened to you . . .

I go outside for a walk. The park is just right across from my home. Then, I lay down on the grass to relax and breathe air. Observe people passing by and enjoy watching dogs being playful. I keep telling myself everything is alright.

Hello annierose this is checkmail and me too often get upset because of long delays.Sometimes when i get upset i used to enjoy my favorite games, watch television, etc But now recently i use chatting on internet when i am upset.I discuss my problems with others and also share theirs.

i always try to get up from the situation by engaging myself in some other thoughts to get back my mental stability and then leave it to god to get me out of that frame of mind

Wow, I'm sorry that you had a terrible moment. No one enjoys the "I got screwed" moment of the day... but we all go through it. Its a shame though that people are not taking the responsibility of their jobs seriously. We don't have the time and money to waste on people who do not complete their duties. ANYWAYS... When I'm upset, there are a few things that help me: a.) Watch The Nanny... this show isn't for everyone, lol. But I do find a lot of humor in it b.) Visit http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com - Its a site I stumbled upon where people who got TERRIBLE cakes are able to share them and laugh about the mistakes. I was down when I found this site and just laughed for hours while going through the pages. c.) Lay out in the sun (if there's any around... heh but lately here its been raining like 5 out of 7 days) d.) Take a cold shower (I don't like hot showers.) Its refreshing. Like a deep cleansing breath You'll find a destressing habit. May just take a bit to find something that works better than others.
