A woman, when asked who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., responded "how the heck should I know? Is that in Washington State?"
The same woman, when asked who lives in a pineapple under the sea, replied "I know! Spongebob Squarepants."
Are you smarter than a 5th grader?

I am much smarter than a fifth grader - especially if the temp is 70 and the wind is in the right direction and it is the second Tuesday of the month. Oh sorry! I have to being wearing something yellow too.

Probably, but only just! Then again, I've always seemed to have a good memory for facts and figures, so I might just scrape through if I were to face a test with questions like the ones you just shared. I'm suprised to see them openly sharing Oprah's address like that though.

I saw on tv once when they were interviewing people in New Mexico, and they were asked how they would feel if they became part of Mexico.. over half of them thought they already were in Mexico!!! This was for real...Take care!!

I am smarter than a fifth grader, but since Sponge Bob is not one of my favorites, I would not have known the pineapple question. Of course it might have struck me with a bolt of lightening out of the blue.

You are so right. They learned it yesterday and their brains are cluttered up with years and years worth of information. "It's a matter of volume vs. capacity" a former boss of mine once said.

Oh that's nuts, and pretty darned sad.
It reminds me of a question on the Cash Cab TV show last night. A couple was asked something along the lines of, Clams and scallops are shellfish that are made up of two shells that are connected - what is it called?'
They weren't sure so they phoned their daughter, and they blurted out her answer -
BICUSPID!
Ummmmm, close. How about bivalve?
