Would you like a drink with that?

When you have been seated in a restaurant and the waiter/waitress asks if you want something to drink what do you say? Do you drink the free water or do you order something? Most of the time I try to stick with the free water-healthier and cheaper. But if I do ask for a drink it may be a root beer and on occassion a pina colada. If I go for Chinese I love to sip the hot tea. So what drink do you like to order when eating out?

When I eat out (which is super rare) I order sweet tea to go with my meal.

Your lucky. They don't serve sweet tea out here, except at McD's, and while you can add sugar to a glass of tea it just isn't the same.

One of the perks of living in Georgia. Sweet tea on demand. -grin-

Hi Kcoregon, I usually take water or Chinese tea, especially if we are eating a full meal such as lunch or dinner. If it's only for snacks, cakes or desserts, then I would most probably order a coffee.

Most of the time it depends on where we are going to eat. Whenever we go out for breakfast I drink coffee with my food. If we are going to some fast food chain it's either soda or sweet tea depending on how hot it is and my mood. I have found that I've been drinking more sweet tea than soda which is good. Not very often do I drink water at the restaurants because I don't like the taste of tap water.

When I got out to eat if they ask me if want something to drink with that I always say yes. I have never tooken the free water because I don't like drinking water while eating anything else. I usually order a cherry or regular coke, or if they don't have one of those two choices I will pick pepsi. I always get a soft drink with my food at resteraunts or fast food resteraunts.
