I miss my younger days...

When I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to grow up and have kids. Be a mommy, pay bills, have a house. Now, that I have been here for a few years, I would love to turn back the hands of time and actually enjoy my childhood some more. I have actually considered moving my family to the place where I grew up...but there is no work there. There were only about 100 people in the town where I grew up...very small. I miss it a lot some times when I get tired of hearing my noisy neighbors, and have to stand in line forever at the grocery store because someone is arguing over the price of a loaf of bread. Do you ever miss your younger days?

Oh I know, we knew everyone in our town growing up, and here, I don't know any of my neighbors either. It's sad. Thank you for your comment.

I do miss it now that I am older and a mommy as well. I always wanted to be grown up and I always wanted to be a mom. But sometimes I find my self wondering why I thought it would be easy. I love being a mom. But having to worry about where our next meal will come from, well it sucks. LOL. I miss being the kid and my parents haveing to worry about that stuff while I played with my dolls and pretended they were my babies... I think alot of us feel this way even if we dont wanna admit it. Happy mylotting and have a great day

I've never wanted to admit it, but I thought with the anonymity of mylot I would see if there was anyone out there like me. I love being a mommy, but wish I had understood the stress much younger. Thank you for sharing!!

Yeah Im sure you will get a few post. I think you will anyhow. cause I think for sure now a days with cost of gas prices and so on. That alot of people wish they had no worries again like when we were kids. I have 3 sons myself all 5 and under and I tell them all time enjoy it now lol. Even my oldest is always wanting to do chores to earn money and I giggle cause I think he should be playing and enjoying life while he can. But all he can think about is the 50 dollar transformer he wants lol.. Have a great day

I moved out of my moms house when I was 17 becase I got pregnant. I grew up faster than I wanted to. I had a baby and am now living with my fiance. I always thought that it would be awsome to leave my parents house and be on my own. I didnt think it would be that hard. Now I wish I could go back to when I lived with my mom and had no worries. I miss my home town also. Everyone new everyone else and was friendly. Now I do not know anyone. I clean house everyday and struggle to pay bills.

I know how that is, I was pregnant and married when I was 18, divorced at 22, remarried, redivorced...drama drama drama. Now I am comfortable with my life, but sometimes long for those child hood days of no stress. Thank you for your comment and honesty!
