I personally LOVE the elves, I think they are the coolest because they are graceful, morally-sound, have magical powers with the forest and waters, they can heal so many things, and their creations are always amaazing gifts like never before seen, they are strong and loyal and will fight for peace and to help others, and they fight with a bow n arrow. Plus they are all so beautiful and live forever. If anything I'd like to be an elf.
So what do you think? What race do you think is the best? Humans, elves, wizards, hobbits, even the tree people, etc.

I'd like to be one of the elves, for sure. Though to be more specific, I'd like to be one of the Falmari, the sea-dwelling of last batch (Teleri) to arrive in Valinor from middle earth. I like them the best because they seem to be much simpler than the Noldor. I wish there was more information about them, but the only prominent incident I can recall involving them is the Kinslaying, in which the elves under Feanor's leadership killed elves of the Falmari in order to gain control of their ships.

Yes, but not in the Trilogy. I read it in the Silmarillon. :)

I'd love to be an entwife... xD
Hahah, no. I'd love to be one of the Rohirrim...because it would be ultimately cooler than being a Gondorian. I don't think I could live as an elf because everything would be for eternity. Think of how bored I'd get! And little things wouldn't seem so exciting anymore because I had "seen it all".

wow. well that's a new take on it. I'd just want to be an elf cuz it seems like their lives are the happiest and most magical of all the creatures. They are also very mystical and interseting. but yes, about how arwen was told that even if her love had become king he would eventually die and she'd carry on forever alone. it's kinda a scary thought living forever and ever and ever and everrrr. tho they can be killed...

I would still be humans, there's nothing more normal, sensible and with a balance emotions than human. I am very happy with my existence and I love my humanness deep inside and out so I would not change that, besides it is so wonderful and fascinating to feel in love with fellow normal human being.

personally I think there are many negative things associated with humans in lotr. and i agree with a lot of them. they are true. humans are greedy, power-hungry, they kill, and often do things that hurt others. Seems like the elves don't have those problems, they are the most elite and pure of the races. which is y i wanted to be them.

=) that's cool. I never really thought of hobbit cuz i always thought they were kinda the loserish race of the movie (no offense) cuz they're not too brave n really short. but you're right, I DO love their lifestyle, it's just so light, they don't seem to care too much about warring with others and they just keep their own business and live joyously. :)

Gosh, I think it's the hobbit's life for me. They enjoy the simple things...and they are almost childlike in nature.
There little nook is almost like a paradise, everyone knows everybody within there
village, the children can roam throughout their fields without fears.
And I don't remember any mention of any type of prison.
Yep, that would be my choice...8o)
