"Don't be fooled by me. Don't be fooled by the face I wear, for I wear a mask. I wear a thousand masks. Masks that I'm afraid to take off. And none of them are me." This is just a part of a very beautiful essay I have read a few years ago. It's entitled "Please Listen To what I am Not Saying" It is an informal essay, and the author (I'm sorry that I can't mention the name because he used the ever so cliche "anonymous" for his identity) was trying to portray every one of us in his lines "Who am I, you might ask. I am every man and woman you meet." In the essay, it was discussed how we, everyone of us that is, always seem to give others the impression that we are secure, that we are confident, and that "coolness" is our game..that we might laugh or smile in face of trouble and sadness, yet inside our hearts we are secretly screaming for help...that in this life, we tend to show we are in command and that we often times need no one. "The nearer you approach me, the blinder I might strike back. It is irrational. Yes, I am irrational. I fight against the very things I cry out for..."---in this line the author was saying that each time a person comes closer to our hearts or try to help us, we often tend to ignore that person or even drive that person away, even if deep inside, we know we needed that person in our lives. The essay taught me not to easily give up on people. If a person drives me away when I'm trying to help, I wont give up that easy because I know that it was just their defense mechanism. Sometimes, it's hard for a person to admit that he needs help, or that he needs/loves someone. So the next time you encounter a person like that, PLEASE, LISTEN TO WHAT HE IS NOT SAYING...because that's exactly what he needs. Learn to read between the lines.

hi dzeiel091383..sorry to say that I dont have the patience to read such a long and huge discussion of yours..so i am commenting on what i have understood.. Yeah..by me,it's a gift, not everyone has, that is the ability to read people's mind.We should help a person emotionally in distress if we can understand that he/she needs it.. happy mylotting..........
