How did you tell them?

I was 20 when I was pregnant and had my daughter. I told my mother over the phone because I was scared of her reaction. My boyfriend told his mother though text message and then when she came home she talked about it. So how did you tell your parents and how old were you I just want to hear these stories.

I was 22 when I was first pregnant with my daughter. Well, my boyfriend and myself pulled me mom into her bedroom to break the news to her. She reacted quite well, of course I already knew that I was going to get married to my boyfriend.
He told his mom one day at her house that we were expecting while his family was working on a car. He said (I wasn't there, I was working) that she lifted both of her legs up in the air and started kicking them and hollaring that she was going to be a grandma.
We were both afraid that our parents would react badly based on the fact that we weren't married, but surprisingly, as difficult as we thought it would be at first, both of our parents immediately embraced our pregnancy and our now 6-year-old, has the best relationship with her grandparents that I've ever experienced.

aww that is so good to hear. there are not too many parents out there that hold it against their child. it is always better to just tell them and see the reaction

I was terrified. I was also like three months along when I finally called her and told her. She seemed to take it ok, and told me that she loved me, but a few years later, she told me that it had broke her heart and she didn't get out of bed for a week. That really hurt my feelings, and damaged my relationship with her. Now I don't even talk to her, and I am pregnant again, and so excited...she doesn't even know. I think its very sad, but I just can't tell her, because she will judge me.

just always keep it in your head that their is only one true judge and that is god. But I also think that it is very important to have grandma in your life. I just really dont understand why they act that way.

hi there, i just started some similar discussion like this for like two days ago. i also got pregnant when i was in my teenage years. my parents knew that i was pregnant until 8 months. haha
