The weaker gender???

In this modern world, where education, power, wealth and prestige are equally shared by both genders, do you still think that the female is the weaker gender compared to the male?
In our country, it has been advocated that both genders share the same power. However, it is not surprising, that some people still claim that the males are superior to the females... But in general, both genders are given equal chances in all aspects, be it social, political or in academics.
How about in your country? Is there still gender descrimination? I know we are all from the different parts of the globe. Share us your views about your country and your people regarding gender differences.

Men, they say is the dominant gender because he is considered as the sole provider of the family. Other than that, there is nothing else that makes them the stronger gender. Women now occupy higher positions in the government in the likes of Hilary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher and Condoleeza Rice. We see women speaking in front and advocating basic rights of people. The main fact that women can carry a load in her tummy for 9 months make her a strong person.

I so love this response! Thank you...... I so love the last line you got there.... Both genders might share the same intelligence, strength, power etc, but there will always be the fact, that only women can carry a human being inside them for 9 long months

God has always designed man to protect women. i'm sure a lot of feminists out there would disagree with what i am about to say but let me say it anyway. i believe that since God first created man, he is supposed to be above a woman. although they are equal in a sense, but a woman should be submissive to man as a man should love a woman whole-heartedly and provide for her. that is God's intention in the beginning.
when you say the weaker gender, if you are talking about physical strength or prowess then men are superior in strength and women are weaker. man's heavy muscles are built for hard-work and labor. women are built for nurture and care. that's why there's such a term as masculine and feminine. masculinity refers to strength while femininity connotes gentleness.
well, i'm not saying that women are lesser than men. i believe they are equal. however, i just believe that women should be more submissive to men. and men should respect and love women and treat them fairly.
