Hi mylotters, I was always wondering other people spend their monthly income.
My job paid me only monthly. I live alone, when I get paid, I have to spend about half of my pay on rent and other incidental expenses, as I'm still single and have no kids, I always spend the left half almost on my eating, clothes, pets food and a small amount of money left for me to hang out with my firends, so until the next pay day, there is nearly nothing left.
How about you guys?

Yes, right now I am spending my monthly wages and income on paying for the rental property mortgage. This past couple of months I have also had insurance on the vehicle and taxes on two properties come due. It has been a backward month for me, as I actually spent all that I had plus went in debt to pay the rest. Oh well, hopefully I will get something going and get that paid off at least within the next year.
I was so far ahead, and then I got laid off almost 2 years ago now. And I spent all of my savings, but thank goodness I had it. And now I am in the hole. It's no fun buying groceries with credit cards. But, at least I have them. And I don't have any other choice, as I don't qualify for any type of assistance programs.

i get paid monthly too at my job. my salary goes towards paying the bills mainly. i live with my parents and sister. most of the money will go towards paying the mortgage, utility bills and food. i usually save the rest because of retirement planning. most times i just go home to spend time with my loved ones so i don't spend much hanging out.

Well, I am married, so there is 2 incomes coming in here. Personally that is a good thing as things anymore are getting so expensive. My income covers our Cell Phones, Groceries, my Medical bills, my Internet bill, my payment for my Computer I own, and a couple of other things. Then there is money I try to save for things like quick trips out of town, etc. and then try to save some for emergencies or other Fun things as well. It is harder these days to save and sometimes it does seem as if there is nothing left as well. But as long as my Bills are paid it is truly worth it for sure.

Yes, indeed.
Well...my father left me a small amount of money after I graduate from the college and I kept it in the bank for emergency use, I still left it untouched. Though it's hard enough just to make ends meet, I still try to save some. It's great that you're married and have someone there for you and share the daily expenses with you. Thanks for your sharing!
Have a nice day mylotting!

Trust me, I dont get anything saved after my monthly pay is received. All goes out to settle my montly debts. I wonder whether I am out of control or is my salary is not sufficientt to take my life through?

I also being paid monthly. My salary is not big and I need to plan properly or I can make the end make. First of all is to separate all the money for the bills (ie : car loan, Internet, etc) and fund. I keep RM100 for fund monthly and that will be untouched. I may need it for emergency usage. I usually pay a bit more than the real amount in the bills. A bit extra can come handy someday. After all that is settle, I will left will only small amount of money to spend for leisure and other unexpected spending. Even the money will gone in the end, I already keep some as fund for future use.
