How does your house look like? Is it big or small? Do you like it or not?

My house is a very small house, but it is cozy. When I was a kid, I felt shy because my house is too small. Sometimes I wish that I could live in a bigger house. Now I recognize that it is not necessary at all, and I love my little house. It is the place where my family gather around and spend time with each others. What about you?

When I was a kid, I lived in a small old house on a farm. I thought I wanted to move because the house was so old and my bedroom floor was tilted. When we did move, it was to a much larger house. I soon found that it wasn't so much the house but it was the lifestyle that I wanted to get away from. After moving out on my own, my house is now way too big for me but I knew that when I bought it. I am planning to renovate the bottom floor and rent it out so it will be a better use of space. I'm satisfied with my house now but will be moving again in a few years I think.

I use to think that our house was small but, whenever I get to visit houses of the people I get to know, I realized that our house was just right as they would have smaller quarters compared to that of ours. I really value our house and greatful as well that I was able to live in our house now. I heard that my older brothers and sisters lived in other houses before when my parents had not yet settled to where we live now.

its not about house it is about what you can call home. and individuals make up a home not brick and mortar. it is also how you maintain your home and your relations with others. friends would come to visit you in your home and not to see your house. i have a small home which i made comfortable for family and friends.

well when i lived in jamaica when i was young my house was small but once they bought a house in florida it was huge like 7 bedrooms its ok but to be honest i loved my small house much more because me and my family were really then, now we hardly see each each other. also so many stairs to climb lol i hate stairs. small homes rule, big houses are just for show off, thats what i think.

I can relate to your experience. Growing up I lived with my mum a single parent in a small house. Although no need to worry I visited my dad every week and stayed with him every second weekend. Anyhow, I went to a private school and I was often shy or slighty embarassed about my small house and all the other children lived in large houses. I agree with you the size of the house is not what its important. It's the family and love inside in the house. Im sure many people have a large house but do not get on with their family members and then again others will do too. People need to learn whats imporant in life and stop worrying about superficial tings like image. If people are true friends they will like you no matter what your house looks like. One day I would love to live in my large dream house, but untill then I love living in my small home as its the place I was brought up in and has alot of memories.

I think my house is relatively big, it is a 2 floor house, actually 3 floor including the cellar, a front yard and a back yard. I think it is bigger than 3000ft big, I don't know, never asked my husband because he bought it. But comparing to the houses around me, my house is small. And now I ahve been living in this house for a while, I'm used to it already so I don't feel it is any big. I think any house is good as long as family can be together like what you said! Right? ;-)

My house is too big for us. This is our own house and my parents upgraded it little by little. There's only four in this house but we have 4 bedrooms and my younger brother is sleeping with me and my younger sister with my mother. We also have an attic that no longer use. We have a store room at the back and a garage in front. Even when my sister and brother that already married return with their family (they can take the rooms, living rooms or the spacious space that connect all rooms) there still a lot of space for more people to fill in.
