Hey guys & girls.
I have a question. I own a Athlon 64 5000+ with a Sapphire 3850pro AGP card.
The ATI card is running well in normal windows mode. The problem now is, in gamingmode, that means when i play a game like Crysis, Call of Duty 5 or another 3D Game, my machine is going down. I checked the temperature of all components.
Now i saw that my ATI card was going to have about 110°C!!! In normal windows mode about 45-50°C. This is heating up my whole systhem. What can i do? Should i change this card and switch to NVIDIA? I`ve heard that cards would run much "cooler" than ATI`s. Or are there some other options? Thx 4 helping.

The processor getting hot when work over 20% from normal windows, usually I use cooler software to controlling the temperature. You know if your temperature over 85 degree, the computer can be reseting and back to start. The best fan you have only decrease a few temperature of your computer do. I am not sure if VGA Graphic will decreasing a lot temperature. If you don't use the games, the temperature won't be increase very fast because the Windows only use 5% from your processor. I suggest you to installing a cooler software.

I am using EVEREST to controle my temperature and it shows that only the graphics card is running very hot. When i open the case, the system is running stable. So i think that the card is heating up the whole system. I just hpe a bigger cooler on my GC will resolve the problem.
