Is it practical to continue my MBA course when my job is of different field?

I enrolled in an MBA course way back years ago when i was still with the Legal department. But a year before I'll finish my course, i was hired as an SAP BW Developer. my purpose really of enrolling was the promotion, but with the new job, it seem to be useless aside from the pride you'll get. i only need a thesis to earn the degree but it will cost as much the tuition i spent for 2 years.
