Scottish Television - Given up the Ghost

Scottish Television (STV) has been part of the ITV network in the U.K. for over 50 years. Now it has abandoned almost every one of the mainstream ITV programmes such as Lewis (sequal to the award winning Morse), Kingdom, Midsomer Murders and The Bill (running for over 20 years). Instead it is going to show more locally produced shows (ie rubbish), and more repeats. This will also put in doubt any new programmes of Taggart (shown all round the world), as ITV is now unlikely to buy it from STV, so the production costs will be too great.
STV is also putting its money into showing gambling programmes like roulette and poker (encouraging people to gamble more - already an epidemic in the U.K.).
At the moment it would appear that the only programme not subject to be axed in the future is Coronation Street.
This is not the sort of behaviour which is wanted for televison channels, which should be showing programmes people want to watch.

Again Money being put in the wrong Chanel's, I mean a lot of People rely on those Programs enjoy those Programs, so why put a lot of Rubbish and not very ideal programs on that no one will watch, as for these Gambling Programs and that, I agree they should not be shown it is giving the wrong Impression to live and show People how to waste their Money
