It would be very hard for me to say one author is my favorite over another, I love to read!!!!!!!! I have favorite authors that I would by there book without even reading the back to see what it is about because I love that persons writing so well.
I read paranormal romance...authros like Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Jacquelyn Frank, JR Ward.....etc..... Then I have historical romance writers like Shirlee Bisbee, Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, Julie Ann Long, Stephanie Laurens... etc.
Do you have an author that is your absolute favorite?? Would you buy a book by that person just by name alone?

I think that I have read almost everything by John le Carre. I became hooked on his Cold War novels of betrayal and treachery particularly Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy and Smiley's people. With the end of the cold war I thought he would have nothing more to write about but I was wrong. He has adapted brilliantly and produced many more superb novels.

Yup! I like Mark Twain! Short and sweet! Yup I'd buy his books too. What did he write about? Can you remember? Perhaps I better buy a couple, and read up on him. How about Huckleberry Fin? now there was a story! I liked the one about painting the fence. White paint I think it was too.

I am basically the same way as all of you, I have no particular author. I read a wide variety of subjects. I would say some of my favorites off the top of my head are Terri Blackstock, Sherryl Woods and Max Lucado.

I like to read classical novels, and yes, it would be hard to say just one author. I have read books written by many world-famed authors. I wouldn't say favorite, but books I have often read are by Charles Dickens and Leo Tolstoy. I just recently read the claasic "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy. Oh, that was one of the most impressive novels.

Anything by Ian McEwan has to be really good. He seems to surpass himself with every book. I've just read Atonement and that was wonderful, but there are so many good authors, it's difficult to pick an absolute favourite. And I like thrillers, historical romance, sagas - all sorts of books. I just love reading!

Yes I do. I have read all of the books by Dan Brown and am looking forward to the next one. He definitly challenges your thinking. There is just enough truth in the fiction to make it all very believable. would I buy a book just because he wrote it? Yes Absolutely
