A friend of mine went through a lot of sufferings in her love life. She is a single mom who has been cheated twice.. And she is blaming herself for that and even lost her self-esteem.
I wanted to help her but I believe she is the only one who could help herself.
How about you, do you have self-esteem issues?

yeah, i have self-esteem issues... my self-esteem is way too high lol... i think i'm the greatest thing in this world... honestly, i'm perfect lol... my friend though has a very low one, i try to tell her how beautiful she is and how smart, but all i hear in return is "i'm fat, no one will ever love me" she isn't fat at all... she has to stop comparing herself to super anorexic/bulimic models... half the guys at her job are crazy about her, but they are too scared to approach her, those who do approach her are not her type, so she tells them to take a hike, by doing which scares the rest of the guys even more...

hm... my nickname is made out of two words, mrak - darkness and bes - demon lol it's in russian... self-esteem is all about how you feel about yourself, if you like yourself, then others will like you too. if you think you are fat and ugly, then others will not like you so much... so i just convinced myself that i'm really beautiful and was telling myself that every day... result- every one loves me lol... i mean there are a few things that i don't like about my self, but they are so little that it doesn't even count... i love my personality, i'm very helpful and understanding, i look great and i'm very healthy, what else do i need? i have everything a person really needs...

Yes, I do have self-esteem issues. I have a very low self-esteem. I have never had a good or high self-esteem of myself. I've never really felt good about myself, I've never really felt beautiful. I'm not sure how it happened, but it's just the way that I've felt for a long time.

I have a lot of self-esteem issues. Until I got engaged, I had never been in a relationship where someone did NOT cheat on me. I also had never been in a long term relationship. I also have been through a number of really upsetting situations in relationships (like a former 'girlfriend' sleeping with my sister) that have caused me to think less of myself. I never really thought too much of myself in the first place, so you can imagine after all of this what I was thinking of myself.
But then I met my fiance. She is gorgeous, wonderful, brilliant, beautiful, and she loves me for who i am. She taught me that reminding someone of their excellence helps with their self-esteem, she also taught me that its okay not to see what other people see in you, but to believe that its there helps a lot. Just being there for someone when they need you really helps because at least they know that you are worth their time.
My self-esteem issues have not completely gone away, as something like this takes years and years to get over, but i know that at least i am with someone that will help me along the way, and believes in their heart that i am worth something.
