How Can I Be So Lucky?!

So, I have a jar in my kitchen where we throw all of our silver change (pennies go in their own jar for poker night!). My man told my kids that when the jar is full, we will take it to the bank, and he will use the money to take them to the movies. So this motivates them to take the change from their allowance and put it into the jar so they get the reward. I walked into my kitchen today, and bless that mans heart...he stuffed $200 into the jar in $10 bills. I had been concerned that it wasn't a very big jar, and so when it got full there would barely be enough for the movie tickets, much less the popcorn and soda. I hadn't said anything about it though. And when I saw that money...I just thought it was so sweet that he would do that, because now he has ensured that there will be way more than enough for everyone to have a great time. I love him, and he is my fairy tale come true.

I think that they will. They are very respectful. It just means so much because they aren't his kids...they are mine. And he just took them in like they were his own, because their dad doesn't contact them or even pay child support. They haven't had the easiest of lives up until now, so this act of kindness means so much to me.

That is so incredibly sweet! I hope your children enjoy themselves! I bet they were excited to see the jar "magically" full! The movies are expensive these days, but since they spent their money putting it in the jar too I think that is a great lesson and they will enjoy the movie even more knowing they helped out too! Be lucky to have such a wonderful and sweet husband! =P
