I think a lot of couples that are saying "I love you" within the first week or month are naive a lot of the times. I usually don't drop the "L" word until months after dating, I think it is best that way, so you can focus more on getting to know this person more and more, to really begin to fully love them. My boyfriend and I have been together for over two years by taking things gradually, we love each other so much.

probably about six months into the relationship I felt confident that I really loved him, I mean I loved a lot about him before then, but to honestly say that I 100% loved him would be around then, now I love him even more than that, it grows over time.

I tried to tell my husband "I love you" after just a few weeks of dating & he told me not to say that. I kept having to keep myself from saying it. Then after a few months, he said it to me. That was nearly 13 years ago!

hmm well i've never noticed this before. and yeah i can agree after a month most people are like he's prefect! but i think thats just because were young but once we get older i think people are more mature and understand that a month being together means nothing sometimes. and people who take things slow i'm so like that. i don't like to say love if i don't really mean it. i know how it feels to like someone alot but sometimes it means nothing people move on and there feelings change
